The Jopen Key Comet Wand Review

The Jopen Key Comet Wand Review, June 2021

I did my happy dance when I heard that Vibrator Kingdom were sending me the Jopen Key Comet Wand for review.

I fully admit to being a sex toy addict and this gorgeous glass g-spot toy had been at the top of my ‘must-have’ list for quite some time, so I couldn’t wait to put it through its paces.

I am a huge fan of Vibrator Kingdom simply because they actively campaign for body safe sex toys, but their speedy delivery and beautifully presented packaging doesn’t go un-noticed either.

Especially when you are expecting something as exciting as the Comet Wand.

Product Information

The Jopen Key Comet Wand arrived, packaged beautifully inside a glossy pink and black box which looks luxurious and works reasonably well for long term storage. It is cardboard though, so it won’t last forever.

Inside the box you will also find a storage pouch with the “Key” logo tag attached. The pouch does feel cheap but it does the job well enough.

The Comet Wand is quite unique in that it is made from both glass and silicone. It is described on the packaging as “A durable glass body, dipped in body safe silicone and branded with the stainless alloy ‘KEY’ emblem”.

I suspect that the head of the Comet is made entirely from silicone because I can wiggle/slide the bulb ever so slightly up and down.

None of this detracts from the look or feel of the dildo but I thought it worth mentioning in case it is important to you.

The silicone used on the Comet feels luxuriously soft and silky when you run your fingers over the surface but overall it is very hard and does not bend or flex under pressure. Some very gentle ridging can be seen running down the silicone shaft, which looks gorgeous but I could barely feel these during use.

In Use

I would not describe myself as a size queen but I do enjoy thick dildos and the filling feeling they provide. I have my limits but I never expected to struggle with the Comets rather average 5 inch circumference. (measurement taken from the widest part of the bulbous tip.)

I have comfortably taken larger toys before it, but the Comet is a completely rigid dildo, which means it doesn’t bend or flex to your body shape.

This makes it feel larger than it looks. I find this is the case with all glass toys and even with the silicone skin as a buffer, the Comet still feels quite unforgiving during insertion.

It took a truckload of lubricant and five minutes warming up before the Comets round head popped inside me and feeling the solid head popping past my internal muscles/pubic bone with each thrust was not entirely pleasant. It could be uncomfortable if I caught myself wrong.

These sensations forced me to remove and insert the Comets head very slowly and my g-spot doesn’t respond to ‘slow’. I wasn’t deterred because the smooth round head felt absolutely perfect internally and the ample head ensured my whole g-spot was stimulated.

I simply inserted the dildo until it was resting against my g-spot and gave it a good wiggle, rather than thrusting with it. Unlike metal or glass, the silicone skin on the Comet causes plenty of drag, so rather than sliding back and forth over my g-spot, the Comet seems to grab on and massage/pull/push at it intensely.

These internal sensations were so good, I felt my orgasm building in no time. I occasionally had to stop to wipe the handle as it became very difficult to grasp onto when wet and slippery with lube. Then I hit (literally) a problem.

I have always achieved squirting orgasms by removing the dildo from my vagina at the moment of orgasm. I have never known any different. The problem (as mentioned above.) was that I could not just whip the Comet out.

Not without the rigid tip crashing painfully into the back of my pubic bone or causing that ‘uncomfortable at high speeds’ popping sensation as it passes out of my vagina. It started to get frustrating. I was having some of the most intense internal stimulation I had ever felt from a g-spot toy but I just couldn’t finish that off with an amazing gushing orgasm.

Yet I was drawn to the Key Comet Wand like no other toy before it. If I had come across a toy previously that just wasn’t working or causing me pain, I would have put it aside and written it off as unsuitable. I couldn’t do that with the Comet.

It felt so amazing internally that I wasn’t prepared to give up just yet. Something told me to keep trying, that soon I would understand why this toy gets such fantastic reviews. I am so glad I did.

My partner had been unable to join me for my first week with the Comet, but when we finally got to play with this toy together everything changed. During a sex session, I grabbed the Comet Wand and began to experiment again, only this time I was kneeling. (In all previous attempts I was on my back.)

Surprisingly, the Comet Wand slipped inside me with ease. Due to my arousal levels (And maybe the change in position) the stimulation from the Comet felt so much more intense and comfortable.

I was still wary of yanking it out at those pivotal moments, so I kept it inserted and continued to enjoy the waves of pleasure that passed through me, and then it happened.

The sensations peaked once more and suddenly, unexpectedly I started gushing whilst the head of the Comet continued to massage my g-spot. Through persistence, the Comet had given me an orgasm that I had never experienced before and it was bliss.

I finally understood. Keep the toy inside = eye rolling orgasms. The Jopen Key Comet Wand is an amazing g-spot dildo, but I can explain this better if I tell you what it isn’t (Or wasn’t for me anyway) It isn’t a toy I can just grab and use when I am not fully aroused.

If I am not warmed up and ready to accept the Comets rigidity, or if my g-spot hasn’t been teased already, then the Comet is just uncomfortable. On the other hand, if I am ready, this dildo can give me g-spot orgasms like I have never had before. (Literally)

Cleaning And Care

The Jopen Key Comet Wand is waterproof and so can be cleaned easily in hot soapy water. You may need an old toothbrush to scrub any lube or juices from the joint where the silicone meets the glass on the shaft.

Take care not to expose the Comet to any product containing silicone (Including silicone lubes, stick to water based lubes.) because silicone can damage silicone.

The Comet does come with a storage pouch to help keep the product in tip top condition and you can store the dildo inside its original box packaging too.

The Key Comet Wand also comes with a one year manufacturer warranty should you need to use it.

Summary

The Comet Wand is a fantastic g-spot stimulator. It hits the spot and feels very satisfying due to that curved shape as well as the unique ‘silicone over glass’ design. You get the firmness of glass with the added bonus of drag from the silicone skin.

It is also a reasonably heavy dildo and this weight adds to the internal sensations but it can tire your wrists after a while. (I am always hand swapping with this dildo.) This is not a toy that I can enjoy when I am not fully aroused, so I struggle to take it comfortably if I use it from the start of a session.

On days where my vulva feels sensitive I will skip the Comet, because the drag caused by the silicone skin can be uncomfortable. (Seriously, you’re going to need a ton of lube.)

Once warmed up however, once my g-spot has been sufficiently teased, the Comet will blow my mind time and time again, giving me some of the most intense g-spot orgasms I have experienced before it. When my g-spot needs attention, the Comet Wand is the first toy that pops into my mind.

I don’t know if I could comfortably recommend the Comet to anyone. If you are inexperienced with penetration or g-spot play you may find it feels too big, maybe even uncomfortable.

The problems I encountered were occasional and caused by the shape of my own internal workings as well as my own arousal levels (remember, this dildo will not squish or bend to conform with your internal shape.) so these issues will not apply to everyone.

If you enjoy larger g-spot toys and prefer rigid and intense sensations then I suspect the Comet will be a great addition to your own collection. It’s certainly a favourite of mine. You can purchase the Jopen Key Comet Wand in pink or duck egg blue from Vibrator Kingdom.

The Jopen key Comet Wand was kindly sent to me free of charge from Vibrator Kingdom for an honest review. This does not not affect, or sway my opinions of the product and I will always portray my own experiences, good or bad.
