Icicles No 30 Glass Dildo Review

Icicles No 30 Glass Dildo Review

Icicles No 30 Glass Dildo Review, June 2021

I was very excited to hear that Lovehoney were sending me the Icicles No 30 to test and review. I had been admiring this particular dildo for quite a while. It looks amazing and I was very curious as to how well it would work as a dual stimulator.

When it arrived I immediately began putting it to the test and have tried it a fair few times since.

I have discovered that although this dildo has some great advantages, I cannot use it as a dual stimulator. I am disappointed. Here are the details:

Packaging

The Icicles No 30 arrives packaged in a gorgeous black and white box that opens at the front like a little door, Inside is a toy shaped window in which you can see the Icicles No 30 The packaging is not at all smutty. It gives off an air of luxury and class.

Looks/Feel/Spec

This dildo is so beautiful to look at. The gentle curves and pale rose colouration appeal to my feminine side. It is made from borosilicate glass so the toy feels solid and has a nice bit of weight to it.

It certainly looks and feels like a luxury, quality product. The larger arm has 3 small ridges that circle the head and imitate the appearance of a foreskin.

I measure this arm to be 4 inches in girth at the widest point, with an insert-able length of 5 inches. The smaller arm has quite a few small, circular nubs on the underside which make it look similar to an octopus tentacle.

I imagined this texture would feel amazing rubbing against me.

In Use

The Icicles No 30 is designed to be used as a dual stimulator. The idea is to insert the larger arm into your vagina, (which should cause the smaller arm to rest up against your clitoris) and then use the smaller arm to rub against your clitoris as you move the dildo in and out. Another option is to insert the smaller arm into your anus if you rotate the dildo 180 degrees.

The Good Stuff

I discovered that the Icicles No 30 is an extremely good g-spot dildo because of the gentle upward curve and the raised swirls that circle the head of large arm. I can feel it gently teasing my g-spot from the minute it is inserted. The loop makes it very easy to grasp onto and maneuver.

When I upped the pace, it felt so intense that it was giving me amazing squirting orgasms within minutes and it required barely any effort. It isn’t too textured and it doesn’t narrow or widen dramatically at any point so I didn’t experience any uncomfortable grinding or popping sensations. It has a reasonable girth that tapers away gently so I felt nice and full, but not over-stretched.

The Bad Stuff

However, as a dual stimulator, it didn’t work for me at all. I have tried inserting the larger arm as shallow and as deep as it could possibly go and the little arm still completely misses my clit. The best I could achieve was a mildly uncomfortable prodding by its pointy tip, at the very top of my clitoral shaft. Way too high to experience any pleasure.

Having it rotated the other way, I noticed that the little arm completely overshot my anus (by about 0.5 to 1 inch) so it was prodding somewhere in between my bum cheeks further back. There was no way I could possibly use it for double penetration. The gap between the arms was far too wide. Because this dildo is completely rigid, you cannot bend or manipulate its shape to suit your body and women come in all different shapes and sizes so in my opinion, it will be very hit and miss as to whether this dildo will work as intended for you.

I did wonder if it was just bad positioning on my part, so I tried contorting my body into many different positions and angles to make sure, but I had no success at all. As a dual stimulator, the Icicles No 30 doesn’t work for me, so this makes the small arm pretty pointless, annoying even, because now it just gets in the way.

When I used a harder, faster thrusting motion, I found that the pointy little arm kept banging into my pubic mound and clitoral shaft, which was uncomfortable, even painful. My partner had less success using this dildo on me because he was scared of hurting me after witnessing my attempts.

This is a shame because there is some beautiful texture on the small arm that I imagine would feel great rubbing against my clit but the arm curves too high in the wrong direction and the only part of it that touched my clit was the very tip. I even tried to use the little arm on its own, without inserting the large arm into my vagina but no matter which way I held the dildo, the large arm got in the way. It was literally impossible for me.

From this point on, I started to use the little arm as a handle. I felt I had to really, so that I could arch the larger arm upwards when it was inside me (Thus hitting my g-spot more) and stopping the little arm from banging into my delicate clitoral shaft.

It Wasn’t All Bad

Being made from glass, I find that the dildo glides a lot smoother and causes less drag than other materials so I can play with this toy longer without any friction or irritation. It is non porous so it will not absorb any liquids, chemicals or nasty bacteria and you can use any lubricant with this toy.

It is waterproof and suitable for temperature play too. Simply place the dildo in a bowl of hot or cold water and it will soak up the heat, or cold and it feels very nice when used both ways.

Summary

Overall the Icicles No 30 didn’t function as intended for my body, so I was a little disappointed. I mean, it is a beautiful product and makes a fantastic g-spot stimulator (when the little arm isn’t prodding me) but there are plenty of glass g-spot toys that work just as well and the unique design feature of this toy (being a dual stimulator) is the reason I was drawn to it and that feature let me down so I cannot give it top marks.
