The Dimple Twist Glass Dildo Review

The Dimple Twist Glass Dildo Review, June 2021

A Touch of Glass kindly sent me the dimple twist to test and I have spent longer on this dildo than most, simply because it seems to affect me differently each time I use it.

One day it blows my mind, the next day it just feels OK.

I have tested it plenty to try and form an opinion but I have finally come to the conclusion that it depends on my arousal levels.

Initial thoughts

The Dimple Twist has a design feature which I was very curious to try. As you can see from the pictures, this dildo has a little handle which can be used to twist or rotate the dildo once it has been inserted.(Imagine lemon juicer) It also has some small raised bumps on the base.

The Dimple Twist has 4 inches of insertable length and a 4.5 inch circumference around the widest part of the toy (The head)

Clitoral Stimulation

I have been reviewing toys for a long time and can usually predict in advance how a toy will generally feel in use. In other words, it is difficult to surprise me any more.

The Dimple twist managed this feat the first time I used it and it wasn’t the grooved head or the raised swirls on the shaft that did it.

These textures feel good, but this toy saved its best secret until last. Once I had inserted the dildo deep enough to allow the base to rest up against my vaginal lips, I began to twist the handle.

As I swirled the toy around inside me I was expecting to mainly feel the textures on the head and shaft, so I was pleasantly surprised when I began to feel the little bumps on the base (The ones I had written off as merely decorative.) begin to slide one after the other over over my clitoris, labia and perineum, all at the same time.

The sensation was amazingly stimulating. It felt similar to someone lightly brushing their fingers or tongue all over my most sensitive parts.

I love strong vibrators but when it comes to manual stimulation, I like it gentle (Teasingly gentle) so the Dimple Twist began to slowly blow my mind. I felt myself building up to an amazing clitoral orgasm which was a first for me. I have never achieved a clitoral orgasm, or anything close to one, from a dildo alone.

The Dimple twist doesn’t have this effect on me every time and if I am not really aroused before use I find it to be a lot less effective as a clitoral stimulator. On the occasions I tried to use it from a cold start, I noticed that it could be awkward.

If I closed my legs too much it traps the base between my thighs and this hinders the rotation action. If I opened my legs too wide I felt like the little bumps were not hitting my clitoris in the right place.

A lot of fidgeting began to happen. However I am prepared to forgive the Dimple Twist for these little irritations due to the fact that it has such a wonderful effect on me when I am aroused and no other dildo has ever felt good enough to bring me close to clitoral orgasms before, so it does something right.

Internal Stimulation

I just spent a long time explaining how this dildo makes my clitoris ache and haven’t mentioned how it feels internally so let me cover that. One thing that really impressed me was how well this twist function works. It was very easy to keep the dildo spinning while it was inside me.

My partner also found it simple to do. The sensations from the grooved head and the raised swirls on the shaft gave a sensation of someone lightly sweeping their fingers around inside me. It feels delicious and I prefer using it this way than a standard in-out motion.

The Dimple Twist can give me g-spot orgasms without too much trouble but I prefer a dildo with a curved shaft for intensity. You can’t have everything though. If the Dimple Twist didn’t have a straight shaft, it wouldn’t feel as good when used to twist.

I prefer using this dildo in the way it was designed. Rather than using it for g-spot orgasms, I use it to insert and twirl it inside of me, usually whilst using my favourite vibrator on my clitoris or when receiving oral sex.

It is a nice, filling dildo with some great texture that teases around the opening of my vagina and up against my g-spot. These sensations help me to reach a more intense clitoral orgasm.

Anal

The flared base makes the dimple twist ideal for anal use so we put it to the test. Usually my boyfriend will choose slimmer anal toys but he reluctantly decided to give it a shot. I wouldn’t recommend it to anal beginners.

It took my partner a little while to take it, and he commented on how it doesn’t feel great at first. The bulbous head was a bit too big for him. Once he relaxed it slid in and it rubbed against his p-spot perfectly. At this point he began to really enjoy it.

When combined with stimulation to his penis, he had a very intense orgasm which he said was heightened by the feeling of the dildo inside him. He also commented on how nice the grooved head felt when I used the handle to twist the dildo inside him.

I also found it to be reasonably comfortable as an anal toy but it isn’t great for double penetration.

The handle gets in the way and, as your bodies bang together, the handle prods into his balls or belly (Depending on position) which also causes it to prod jarringly inside my bum, which wasn’t the nicest sensation but it wasn’t bad enough to have to stop.

He especially loved the fact that the handle made me look like I had a little tail, plus you can see down the centre of the dildo which means you can sort of see the internal parts of the person who has it inserted. The glass is thick though so it isn’t the clearest view.

Summary

The Dimple Twist seemed to be one of those toys that would feel very different depending on my mood at the time of use. It could blow my mind (And my partners) at times, at other times I had to put it down and choose a different toy to make me orgasm.

At times it shocked and surprised me and I would have said it was the best dildo I had ever tried. At other times it was merely okay.

It was certainly never bad but I occasionally found it frustrating, probably because I was trying to chase down the feelings and sensations it gave me during other uses but I just wasn’t aroused enough to let it work its magic.

Overall though, it is a very good, versatile dildo. Probably more so than a lot of love glass and fancy trying something unique, the Dimple Twist is a must.
