Bondage Boutique Xtreme Leather and Silicone Pony Play Bit Gag Review
My partner and I had entertained the idea of purchasing a ball gag for quite a while but I had my doubts.
The main one being “would it fit” I have a small mouth, shocking to hear I know considering its never shut but alas I do.
I also suffer from a chronic pain condition that can affect my facial muscles so I wanted something I could wear for longer periods of time without suffering jaw ache. When I saw this gag my eyes lit up.
The mouth piece
The mouth piece is made from a quality silicone that is perfect for biting down into, and you can bite hard trust me. I have sunk my teeth so hard into this gag and it doesn’t leave a mark.
The silicone is firm but flexible enough to bend comfortably around your lips and cheeks and it has just the right amount of squishiness or spring to it. The entire length of the mouth piece is 5 inches long. (Each ball measures 1 inch in length and the section you bit into measures 3 inches long.)
The rings
The rings that attach the silicone mouthpiece to the leather straps are pretty big. I measure them to be just over 2 inches in diameter but they sit comfortably on my cheeks. One slight problem with these rings is that they haven’t been welded into a complete O shape.
Both of them have a tiny gap where the two ends of the metal meet. This section can be rotated so that it sits under the leather of the strap but there could be a small chance of it scratching or nipping your skin if exposed.
This hasn’t happened to me and is probably a minor point but I feel it is worth mentioning. The straps:
A thick but flexible leather has been used to create the straps. It isn’t the softest leather and the edges can be slightly harsh and chafe a little with excessive facial movements but not enough to cause any pain or damage, just a little irritation.
There are 9 holes in the leather and the strap can be adjusted from 17 inches to 23.5 inches based on my measurements. Be advised that the strap fastens at the back of the neck and not the back of the head, where it would just slip down during use.
In use
Oh how I love wearing this gag. It is a lot of fun. Firstly it sits comfortably in my small mouth for extended (1+ hours) periods of time without causing excruciating jaw ache. I found that I could still talk (or mumble) while wearing this gag and for the most part my partner could understand me.
I found it reasonably easy to control my drool, which was a good thing for me because I don’t enjoy the sensation. One of the main things I enjoy about this gag is that I can bite down on it as hard as I want to without causing any damage to the mouthpiece. One downside is that even on the tightest settings, I can push the mouthpiece out with my tongue and teeth.
Summary
If you are looking for something a bit more extreme then this gag probably wouldn’t be suitable because the submissive has some element of control over speech and drooling and the mouth piece can be pushed from the mouth. (I could anyway)
However, it is a comfortable gag that is ideal if you want to find something you can wear for long periods of time and it looks damn sexy on. It certainly makes me feel submissive.
