“I don’t like bullet vibes”
I made this statement last month, on Twitter. Pretty soon I had heard from a few trusted sex toy reviewers that I was missing out. “You have to try the We-Vibe Tango, they said. I pretty much scoffed. What could be much different about this bullet, compared to the scores that lay abandoned in a box under my bed (The box reserved for toys that just don’t even get me off.) Add to this the fact that my only other experience with a We-Vibe product was the We-Vibe 2, which failed me miserably and the doubts grew. Still, the ladies in question know what they are talking about so I pondered the idea for a while before making my purchase. It arrived swiftly and it was finally time to find out if the Tango was the one bullet to rule them all…
And it blew my freaking socks off!
This is clearly not your average bullet. I would go as far as to say that this petite, unassuming vibrator is now my number 1 sex toy. The one I reach for most of the time, the one that is constantly on charge, waiting. Not bad really, considering I hate bullets.
So what is the difference between the We-Vibe Tango, and all of the other bullets I tried before it? The answer is power and depth. I compared the Tango, not only to every other bullet I own (See video) but to a fair amount of my larger sex toys too, including my Lelo Gigi and my Iroha Midori and it simply out performs them all.
See, I don’t think I have found two toys with identical feeling vibrations yet. Some are close, but lots of things factor into it. The quality of the motor is just one, another is the size of the toy and whether it feels more pin point or diffuse. Materials can make vibrations feel different too. Vibrations vary, but what I like are more pin point vibrations that are strong, and more importantly, deep. I want to feel the vibrations deep inside my clitoral tissue. It is often difficult to find that perfect toy, the one that offers me pin point stimulation and can back that up with speed and depth. I found it. It is called the We-Vibe Tango. This vibrator brings about those deep, throbbing orgasms that simply leave me shaking and thoroughly satisfied. Every. Single. Time. I am a self confessed power seeker, and as an indication, I almost always have to turn my vibrators up to the highest settings to push me to orgasm. The Tango can get me there on speed TWO out of FOUR constant speed settings. I still knock it up to full though, just because I can and it feels bloody amazing. I haven’t often come across a vibrator with such depth and power, and all of this comes in such a small package.
Aside from being one of the best clitoral vibrators I have tried to date, the We-Vibe Tango is also great for sliding inside of male masturbation sleeves, like the Fleshlight, to add a rumbling vibration sensation to your session and my partner particularly enjoyed holding it against the shaft of his penis, which resulted in a powerful orgasm for him too.
So, a little product information. The Tango, which measures 3.25 inches in length, is a rechargeable (Mains only) clitoral vibrator and a full charge will get you around one hour of play time, if you use it on its highest setting. (You get longer on lower speeds.) It uses a magnetic charger, which attracts to the base of the Tango, and it is not the best connection ever. It needs to be left on a flat surface and kept still as the charger falls off quite easily. It comes with 8 different vibration settings. The first four are continuous speeds, low, medium, high and “ultra” (Oh yes!) and the last four settings are various pattern modes, including pulses, waves and cha-cha options. Just a heads up, the Tango has a built in memory and so it always starts on the setting which you had it on last, before switching it off. It has a simple, push button control and you just cycle through the settings with single button clicks. (This is slightly annoying if you skip past your favourite setting, as it means cycling through all the other settings to get back to where you want it.) The Tango is reasonably quiet, but certainly not whisper quiet and it can be heard from across the room. It is louder than most of my other bullets but in a deeper way (They sound like angry mosquitoes, whereas the We-Vibe sounds like a muffled, quieter version of an electric shaver.) The sounds cannot be heard if the Tango is held under a duvet, from across the room so it should be okay for anyone sharing a house and requiring a discreet toy. Last but not least, the Tango is completely waterproof.
The Tango has a few niggles, like the magnetic charger being a little weak and thus causing constant breaks in charging if you so much as blow on the thing (Exaggeration, but still, this is a little annoying.) Another thing I have noticed is that pressure applied to my clit with the Tango did cause it to lose power. Not nearly enough to be a problem for me, but pressure does cause the power level to drop off. (See my Vine below, with the sound on.)
The Tango is my favourite clitoral vibrator to date. It is simply fantastic. The power that this thing has is shocking considering its petite size, and it never fails me. It has so many benefits. It is rechargeable, waterproof, made from body safe materials, non threatening and perfect for use during intercourse, as well as alone. Heck, it even satisfied my guy, what more could we want? Yes, it is pricey when you compare it to other bullet vibes, but there is a good reason for that. Most of those are battery operated and simply cannot provide the power or quality that the Tango can. In my opinion, this vibrator is worth every single penny and if mine ever dies, I wouldn’t hesitate in replacing it with another. It is simply that good. We-Vibe, my faith is restored. I am addicted. You know a sex toy is beyond good when you actually fear its demise.
As a final note, I would like to say thanks to my blogger friends Ali and Dangerous Lilly for recommending this product to me. Without them, I would still be sat here saying “I hate bullets” Please check out their blogs by clicking their names.
