Vixen Creations Outlaw Dildo Review

Vixen Creations Outlaw Dildo Review

I have been blogging about sex toys for well over a year now and since the very beginning I had wanted to get my hands on a Vixen sex toy.

There were many reasons for my desire, so let me explain.

First of all, Vixen Creations are a US based manufacturer of 100% platinum silicone sex toys.

This means that all of their products are phthalate free, virtually non-porous and completely body safe. Great start.

Secondly, their sex toy designs are stunning. They have created a fantastic range, from ultra-realistic dildos (Like the Outlaw), to brightly coloured, tie-dyed dongs. They also stock a variety of silicone anal toys, penis sleeves and wand attachments.

Lastly, they are the creators of Vixskin™ material. Vixskin toys are designed to feel soft and skin-like, or more realistic overall and this greatly appealed to me (I prefer softer, squishy silicone).

Despite my desire to own a Vixen sex toy, there were relatively few UK stockists (Lori from kinketc.com was giving away a Vixen Outlaw. You could have knocked me over with a feather when she emailed me to say I had won this beautiful Vixen Outlaw dildo. I was overjoyed.

Product Information

When the Outlaw turned up at my door, I ripped open the packaging, grabbed the tip of the dildo and began lifting it from the box.

You can imagine my surprise when it just kept on coming. The Outlaw is a BIG dildo, in both length and circumference.

At the time of writing this, the Outlaw is the longest dildo available at Vixen Creations, measuring a glorious 9.5 inches in total length (8.5 inches insertable length). It measures a chunky 6.25 inches in circumference around the largest section of the shaft.

I must admit, I had some doubts over my ability to take this beast. The Outlaw was, without a doubt, the largest dildo in my dildo collection.

However, I have been reviewing sex toys for a while now and have discovered a general rule; the softer the material is, the gentler it feels during use. In other words, if the Outlaw had been made out of glass, or metal, I would not have stood a chance at inserting it.

Luckily (for me) the Outlaw is made from Vixskin™, which means that this dildo is made from a dual density silicone. A firmer silicone is used to create the base of the dildo, as well as a thinner internal shaft, or backbone, then a much softer, squishier silicone is used to coat the harder silicone and create the finished product.

The benefit of using a dual density silicone is that the dildo feels softer and more ‘realistic’. In a similar way to a real erection, you can squeeze the Outlaw and feel the firmer core within, but the surface is soft and squishy.

The firmer core allows this long dildo to hold its shape (for the most part; it does have a slight flop to it) and stops it from being too soft to insert. To get a clearer idea of how flexible and soft the Vixen Outlaw is, take a look at my video, posted at the bottom of this review.

I have only ever experienced dual density silicone on one other brand of sex toy before and that’s on the Tantus O2 dildos, like the Cush. There is one noticeable difference between the two brands; Vixen dual density dildos are much softer than Tantus dual density dildos.

I am referring specifically to the outer layer, or the softer silicone portion. Now my preference is for softer (I have a sensitive vulva) and I did notice that the Vixen Outlaw, despite its large size, actually felt gentler than some of my smaller Tantus dildos.

However, the Tantus dildos were easier to control during anal penetration. It can be swings and roundabouts but firmness can be just as important as reading size charts. It matters.

My Experience Using The Vixen Outlaw

It might have gone unnoticed thus far, but Vixen clearly put a lot of thought into the design of the Outlaw. It can be used for vaginal penetration and the flared base makes it safe for anal use too.

On top of this, Vixen added testicles to the base, which creates extra realism, but they designed the balls to be quite flat.

I believe this was intentional and was done to allow the Outlaw to sit comfortably in a strap-on harness.

I dug out the largest O-ring I could find and slipped the Outlaw into a few of my harnesses. It sat flush against my pubis, feeling extremely comfortable, if not a little weighty.

Of course, as soon as my partner saw me striding around the bedroom with the Outlaw attached to my groin, his face paled. I believe the words “not a chance” escaped from his lips before he back-peddled out the bedroom.

Clearly the Outlaw is an intimidating hunk of silicone and is definitely best suited to experienced anal players and those who enjoy their toys on the extra large side (Especially length). Neither of us felt ready to tackle the Outlaw anally, so I moved on.

The silicone used to create the Outlaw is extremely ‘grabby’ and it creates a fair amount of drag and so lubricant was required unless I was extremely aroused already. (As a side note, this grabby silicone will also attract lots of hair and lint).

Insertion was much easier than I’d imagined it would be and although I did feel the chunky shaft stretching my muscles further than my standard dildos do, it still felt gentle. I put this down to the softness of the silicone.

The Outlaw’s shaft is textured with veins and skin ripples, as well as a raised coronal ridge, but these textures are not noticeable when aroused. I actually only felt a slight popping sensation as the glans slipped inside, when I was not fully aroused.

It was never too intense or uncomfortable. For the most part, I simply felt like I was being filled up entirely by a soft, smooth shaft. I preferred to use the Outlaw to simulate PIV penetration, as it felt glorious sliding back and forth.

When combined with clitoral stimulation using my favourite bullet vibrator, I experienced some incredibly deep, powerful orgasms.

As a g-spot stimulator, I found that the Outlaw was middling. I personally prefer using a narrower, firmer, more angled dildo to hit my g- spot in a more direct way. I also like to apply plenty of pressure. The Outlaw is so big that it could scarcely miss my g-spot.

As I thrust the toy in and out, it would stroke back and forth over my g-spot in an enjoyable way, but I find it awkward to apply intense, direct g-spot stimulation.

The weight of the dildo, plus the fact that half of the shaft was constantly outside my body, made it awkward to ‘jiggle’ in the way that my g-spot responds to best.

Those who follow my reviews will know that I have quite a shallow vagina. I struggle to fully insert dildos at the best of times. I stood no chance with the Outlaw, which ruled it out for riding on.

The length also makes it prone to cervical poking (especially when left in the hands of an overzealous lover), but I noticed that when it did hit my cervix, the super soft silicone provided a cushion and stopped it feeling too uncomfortable.

There was one other issue with the Outlaws size. When using it solo, I really began to notice how heavy the Outlaw is. Arm ache started to develop after a while.

Cleaning And Care

It’s pretty easy to keep the Outlaw clean.

I recommend a good wash in hot water with antibacterial spray, but you can also use a sex toy cleaner. Let it air dry before storing (It attracts a lot of lint, so I avoided towel drying).

The Outlaw does not arrive with any storage options, but I recommend you find somewhere safe to store it, to maintain the life of the silicone.

I have noticed that the softer silicone layer is susceptible to damage, mostly from sharp objects. (Including fingernails) It can tear and puncture.

Summary

Despite discovering a few niggles along the way, I couldn’t hold any of them against the Outlaw because the fact is that anyone considering purchasing this glorious dildo is doing so because they WANT something bigger, longer and more filling.

So I couldn’t insert it all, but what I could insert (Roughly two thirds) felt amazing and yes it was heavy, but that’s because the Outlaw is a larger than average dildo, made from high quality materials. This was my first experience with a Vixen product and I was certainly not disappointed.

I would not hesitate to recommend this brand. The one thing that jumped out at me most during my testing was how realistic it felt during use. No sex toy feels exactly like the real thing, but Vixen created a silicone that comes closer than anything I have experienced so far.

I would not recommend the Outlaw to those who prefer slimmer, smaller dildos in general, or those who prefer a lot of texture. For anal use, I recommend avoiding the Outlaw unless you are at least an intermediate, verging on advanced player.

For those who follow the motto that “bigger is better” and are looking for a step up in size from standard sized dildos (Especially if you desire a softer, smoother ride at the same time), then I wholeheartedly recommend the Vixen  Creations Outlaw dildo.
