Viinas Rosalia Rabbit Vibrator Review

Viinas Rosalia Rabbit Vibrator Review

One of the main disadvantages of rabbit vibrators, or any dual stimulators, is finding one to fit your own anatomy.

Vulvae come in all shapes and sizes after all and a rabbit may suit one person, fitting perfectly and stimulating the right areas, but the next person may find it just doesn’t hit the right spots for them.

This is why I generally avoid rabbit vibrators. I have never found one that can please me as directly and perfectly as I can be pleased using a dildo and a clitoral vibrator.

The closest I have come to really enjoying a rabbit vibrator, was when I tried the Swan Whooper Rabbit Vibrator.

Nevertheless, I am an optimistic kinda gal, so when Viinas contacted me to ask if I would like to review one of their new products on the market, I was immediately drawn to their Rosalia Rabbit. The main thing that drew me in, was that lovely looking clitoral stimulator.

It looks similar to the standard rabbit style clitoral vibrators, but rather than having two ‘bunny ears’ the Rosalia only has one. Now, I like pin point stimulation, so this design really appealed to me. I was also looking forward to experiencing the curved, main shaft, imagining it would perform well for some intense g-spot play.

So let me just get this out the way; the Rosalia and I were not a good fit.

I inserted the main shaft and realized immediately that the single rabbit ear was overshooting my clitoris and coming to rest at the top of my clitoral shaft (Just underneath my Mons pubis) I attempted to angle the Rosalia, in a similar way to all rabbits before it, but no amount of fidgeting would get the bunny ear to feel good.

It became apparent very quickly that the single ear was just too pin-point for me. I could barely feel it in place and sometimes it even felt a little ‘pokey’ The best stimulation I achieved was by lifting the ear up with my fingers and placing the entire clitoral arm directly onto my clitoris instead.

You are possibly thinking that these problems are bad enough, but it got worse. Much worse.

My Experiences With The Rosalia

The Rosalia Rabbit is hugely lacking in the vibrations department. The vibrations emanating from the Rosalia, sit at the weak and ‘buzzy’ end of the scale.

My first indication that this was the case was when I switched the vibrator on and heard that tell-tale there’s-an-angry-mosquito-in-the-room, sound.

The Rosalia’s high pitched vibrations could be heard from across the other side of my (Large) bedroom, but I could not hear it when I went outside my bedroom and closed the door. It is not insultingly loud, but not whisper-quiet either and the noise it makes is distracting.

The motors vibrate at an extremely high frequency, giving it this very high pitched vibration sound, but like most vibrators that make this noise, the Rosalia has surface level, extremely shallow vibrations.

My fears were realized when I put the Rosalia to use.

I need a deeper, more rumbling vibration to reach orgasm and the best I could achieve with the Rosalia was a surface level sensation that would not travel any deeper than the top layer of skin.

I also need to apply a little pressure to my clitoris and when I attempted to do this with the Rosalia, I discovered that it dampened the vibrations quite drastically.

I could barely feel anything aside from a diffuse, tingling tickle in my groin area. My clitoris barely felt anything. After roughly ten minutes of use on full power, I came across another issue that I often associate with really high frequency vibrators; the clitoral arm got very warm. Hot even.

Vibrators that get hot during use worry me a little. I tend to expect the motors on these toys to burn out quicker.

The Rosalia is a dual motor vibrator, with one motor powering the clitoral arm and the other powering the main shaft. In case you are wondering, both motors are the same. There is no difference in the feel of the vibrations in both the shaft and the clitoral arm, both are shallow and buzzy.

This meant that I could not even use the main shaft against my clitoris to bring myself to orgasm, as it was just as disappointing  as the clitoral arm was, if not more so, because it is larger and therefore more diffuse. There really was no chance of me reaching orgasm with the Rosalia.

I decided to perform a little test, as I wanted to see if it was just my imagination, or if the vibrations were really this weak/shallow. I grabbed some other toys in my growing collection and compared them with the clitoral arm on the Rosalia (Bearing in mind, the main shaft feels the same anyway).

I soon discovered that so many of my other, smaller, cheaper vibrators were out performing the Rosalia. With the clit arm on its highest setting, I compared it against my battery operated RO-160mm bullet vibrator, felt deeper and more enjoyable on setting 1 (Low speed) than the Rosalia’s clitoral arm did on high speed. I was disappointed.

The thing that disappointed me the most was that I could see the potential here. I love the look of the Rosalia and I certainly like the idea of that super pin point clitoral stimulator. It is sleek and sexy, not to mention waterproof and remote controlled. It is let down hugely by its motors.

I know I am not the only woman out there who craves a more rumbling vibration. One that travels deeper into the clitoral tissues and spreads internally down the clitoral legs.

If my time as a reviewer has taught me anything, it is that a large percentage of females and males seem to prefer this type of stimulation too. Of course, we are all different and I know there are many fans of the gentler touch, but for me, the Rosalia was not enough.

I doubt that it will be enough for any power seekers among you that need more oomph than a standard, battery operated bullet can provide. After all, my bullets managed to outperform the Rosalia (Depth and strength of sensations).

Now I have covered the negatives, I move on to more positive aspects of the Rosalia. For those wondering if that curved main shaft will be comfortable, I can confirm that it is, thanks to the fact that the ‘neck’ of the main shaft is flexible and the girth never exceeds 4.25 inches.

This ensures that the main shaft flexes at the base and can therefore be inserted comfortably, without causing any grating or clamping sensations behind the pubic bone and internal muscles.

The flexibility ensured comfort, but it did mean that I could not apply hard pressure against my g-spot (Maybe it is just a tad too flexible for me) still, the medium pressure applied was enough to titillate and tease my g-spot effectively.

The main shaft surprised me in that, when I inserted the full length (5.5 inches approx) in an attempt to apply the clitoral arm directly to my clit (Not the ear) I discovered the tip was starting to prod at my cervix. I don’t think this will affect every woman, because I know I am quite shallow internally.

The vibrations travelling internally were not amazing, due to the shallow feel of them, but the stimulation provided manually from the shaft was enjoyable.

As for the remote control aspect, when this feature worked, it was fab. There is nothing more enjoyable than laying back and enjoying your fantasies as you cycle through your favourite settings using a remote control in your hand. You don’t even have to move. Perfect.

The problem is that the Rosalia can be pretty flaky at picking up the signals. More often than not, the vibrator would not react to my clicks, unless I put the remote directly alongside to the Rosalia.

The further away it was, the flakier it got and I’d estimate that it only worked 50% of the time if I held the remote at my breasts, while the toy was inserted. It had more difficulty picking up my partners clicks as he held the remote, while sat beside me.

The Rosalia is rechargeable, which is fantastic, but don’t expect super fast turnarounds. It takes roughly 6 hours to charge it from flat and a full charge gave me 45 minutes, if I used both motors on full. It comes with a charging dock (With mains and USB options.) and I never had any problems with it.

The Rosalia rabbit is also waterproof and made from silicone. The silicone used to create the Rosalia is of the silky, matte variety and when you run your fingers over it, it appears to have a very slight graininess to it. It does not attract dust and lint, which is good.

I recommend sticking to water based lubricants when using the Rosalia, as silicone bonds with silicone and silicone lubricants could damage the surface of the toy.

Operation

The Rosalia was sent to me before the product went live in the shops and my Rosalia arrived with no instruction manual. My own experimentation has left me a little baffled.

First of all, the vibration modes are a little bizarre. As far as I can tell, the clitoral arm and the main shaft motors have different pattern settings. After cycling through both motors, this is the conclusion I have drawn:

Clitoral arm modes: Low constant > Medium constant > High constant > Slow pulse > Fast pulse > High Constant > Off

Can you see it? Yep, there appears to be two high constant speed modes. Wait though, it gets weirder:

Main shaft Modes: Low constant > Medium constant > High constant> Dot dot dash > Irregular pulse > Irregular pulse 2 > Fast pulse > Medium pulse > Irregular pulse 3 > Cha cha > Medium pulse > Off

Trust me, I cycled through the main shaft patterns 3 times to confirm the above. Repeating patterns, random orders and confusion abound.

I am unsure if the modes on my Rosalia are even programmed in correctly and I may just have a dodgy motor, but suffice to say, I am unsure how many modes this vibrator is supposed to have.

To turn on the Rosalia, you must first hold down the power button on the remote, for several seconds, until the light flashes and goes out. Now you have two buttons to choose from, one marked with a ‘G’ and the other marked with a ‘g’ These control the settings on each motor and will simply cycle through all the settings, including ‘off’ before beginning again.

You can choose to use just one motor, or both at the same time, in different modes too. This gives you lots of choice. To turn the vibrations off, hold down the power button on the remote for a few seconds.

Summary

Viinas are a new company who clearly take a lot of pride in their products. Their designs are gorgeous and it is clear they are aiming for luxurious, innovative, body safe sex toys.

The Viinas Rosalia Rabbit looks gorgeous and being waterproof, remote controlled, comfortable and body safe are all huge benefits in my opinion.

The sad fact is, the Rosalia disappointed me. I hated the vibrations and they could not get me close to experiencing an ‘O’, the vibration settings were bizarre and I would have also preferred that the Rosalia had some manual operating buttons, or at least a much better connection with its remote, because the flakiness in connection was super annoying and completely distracting.

I would not want it to lose its waterproofing though, as this is a great feature. At the moment, I would only feel comfortable recommending the Rosalia to those who prefer shallow, subtle vibrations. It needs a lot more oomph for my liking. The Rosalia retails for approx £60.
