Lady Rose Glass Dildo Review
I was kindly sent the Lady Rose glass dildo as a tester from A Touch of Glass for a review. It arrived swiftly and was packaged in a plain white box. Inside this box, among plenty of packing peanuts, I found a black satin drawstring bag which contained the Lady Rose glass dildo wrapped in a protective plastic.
Initial Thoughts
The Lady Rose is definitely a sensory delight. The gentle curves and ripples give this toy a sense of femininity and gentleness.
Add to this, the translucent rose pink colouration, which changes hues depending on how the light hits the glass and you have a beautiful little toy that you cant stop touching and admiring.
The Lady Rose is made from medical grade borosilicate glass and has a nice bit of weight to it. It feels smooth and rigid. This dildo is 8.5 inches in total length (bear in mind that it curves.) and it has a 4 inch girth at the widest point.
(The last bulb) I particularly liked that this dildo is double ended and depending on my mood I can choose between the sensations of the textured rippled end or the smooth angled tip. They both feel very different and amazing in their own ways.
In Use
The Rippled End
I like to feel something inside me during masturbation or oral sex and the rippled side of this dildo is perfect because the bulbs add texture and girth. I prefer to use this end of the dildo to simulate penetration, and I enjoy feeling the bulbs sliding in and out of me. It can still hit my g-spot, but I prefer using the curved single bulb for that purpose. The ripples also felt nice sliding back and forth over my clitoris.
I found that the faster I slid the dildo in and out of me, the more I felt the texture of the bulbs and the more intense it felt. The best way I can describe it is a rumbling sensation. It can feel gentle or extremely stimulating depending on the speed you thrust.
Squeezing my pelvic floor muscles around the toy heightened the rumbling sensations and I love using this ribbed end internally while using my other glass dildos but it still feels reasonably filling and satisfying inside me. If you are a beginner, or enjoy a gentler penetration, the Lady Rose would be perfect.
The Single Bulb End
As you can see from my pictures, the Lady Rose has quite a significant curve on this side and when I first saw this I thought that it might be a little too much for me and that I might experience the dildo “digging in” to my g-spot and causing pain. As it turns out, the curve actually intensifies the sensations without causing discomfort.
I discovered the best way to use the single bulb was specifically as a g-spot stimulator and it hits the spot perfectly. I found the single bulb preferable to the rippled side for this purpose. I insert it with the bulb curving upwards so that it hits my g-spot, and then I rock the dildo up and down, rather than using an in and out motion.
This causes the bulbous tip to press rhythmically, and with pin point accuracy, into my g-spot which has caused some of the most intense squirting orgasms I have ever had. I also found that I could keep playing for much longer than usual because the glass does not cause friction or irritation.
There is one little issue with the single bulb side but it can’t be helped really. When someone else is using this end of the dildo on you, it can be difficult for them to know which way the toy is curving when it is inside you. The single bulb of the Lady Rose is very gentle and narrow, so when the curve slides away from my g-spot, I don’t really feel much sensation.
Anal
In my opinion, glass toys are perfect for anal because they don’t cause any drag or irritation around the anus. I want to point out that the Lady Rose is not advertised as an anal toy and it doesn’t have a flared base so if you are using this toy anally, use with caution.
Because the Lady Rose is reasonably slim and tapers gently, it feels very comfortable to insert anally. The rippled side feels especially good and was the perfect girth for my partner and I. We both prefer slim anal toys.
The sensation of the rippled side is quite similar to anal beads and you can definitely feel those popping sensations as each bulb slides in and out of your bum. Using this side, my boyfriend achieved his first ever P-Spot orgasm which was amazing for the both of us to experience, and just another reason I give this toy high praise.
Sensory play
Glass holds heat or cold temperatures well and I have experimented with the Lady Rose for temperature play. I love the feel of the hot glass sliding into me, it is relaxing and sexy. You can use any lubricant you wish and just giving it a good wash with soapy water in between uses will keep it (and you) in tip top condition. The lady Rose comes with a satin storage pouch for safe keeping.
Lady Rose is made from borosilicate glass which is very strong and should last a lifetime.
Glass toys like this will not break inside of you and can withstand a fair amount of bumps and knocks but they can be damaged (If dropped from a significant height for example.)
They will usually chip rather than shatter so if you do drop your glass toy, always check it for damage before use.
Downsides
I can not find any downsides or flaws with this amazing little dildo. However, I did notice few things that might make it unsuitable for you so here goes. Firstly this dildo has a reasonably slimline (3.5 to 4 inch) girth so if you do like your toys to really fill you up then the Lady Rose might not be suitable.
Lastly, the Lady Rose didn’t arrive with any outer packaging aside from the satin drawstring pouch. I feel that this could potentially be a drawback if you wanted to give this toy to your partner as a gift and were looking for that wow factor, which the toy in itself has.
Summary
I love the Lady Rose. The curved tip hits my g-spot perfectly and a simple rocking motion gives intense g-spot orgasms, the ribbed end has a great texture and is perfect for simulating penetration. This dildo also rocked my boyfriends world when used on him anally.
This dildo is so versatile, it looks beautiful, it is hypo-allergenic, super easy to clean and of course, waterproof. It would be suitable for beginners as well as more experienced users. The only people I would not recommend it to would be anyone who enjoys girthy toys because the Lady Rose is a reasonably slim dildo.
