Tantus Splish Dildo Review

Tantus Splish Dildo Review, June 2021

The Tantus Splish Dildo was kindly sent to me from tantus.inc for an honest review.

After taking a break to enjoy the Christmas holidays, the Tantus Splish beckoned me back into reviewing. How could it not? The Splish, with its awesome dripping, melting design and its dual tone colouration, really appealed to my taste for the unusual.

Tantus actually have two dildos with this same dripping design (The Splish and the Splash) and on first glance they could be confused. To help you differentiate, the Splish is the smaller of the two and probably best suited to those seeking a very petite dildo.

Product Information

The Splish is a very petite dildo, measuring in at 4.5 inches in insertable length and 3.1 inches in circumference at its widest point.

The circumference does slim down to 2.5 inches around the base of the shaft. In my opinion, its petite size (and flared base) makes the Splish most suitable for anal use, especially if you are a beginner to anal play.

Like all Tantus sex toys, the Splish is made from 100% premium quality silicone. During testing, I did notice that two different types of silicone were used to create the Splish; the purple base colour is slightly matte, whereas the cream coloured drips are created from a shiny, draggy silicone.

Although there is a slight difference in the two layers of silicone, it is important to note that the Splish is not a dual density dildo or a Tantus O2 toy. Both silicone types are firm, with very little squish, but the small size does make this dildo quite flexible.

My Experience With The Tantus Splish

I wouldn’t describe myself as a size queen, but I prefer dildos that can either fill me up/stretch me slightly, or provide intense g-spot stimulation. It was pretty clear from the get-go that the Splish would be underwhelming in both regards.

It was too slim to fill me up and too flexible to provide intense g-spot stimulation. In fact, it struggled to stimulate my g-spot at all.

Yet it wasn’t all bad news. What really surprised me about the Splish, was that I really enjoyed the sensations provided by its texture. I usually avoid highly textured dildos, because I have a sensitive vulva and any scraping or rumbling can quickly become uncomfortable.

The Splish, however, is small enough that it didn’t overpowering my senses. Instead, the dripping texture produced a gentle, wave-like rumbling, which stimulated the sensitive nerves around the entrance to my vagina.

Combined with a good clitoral vibrator, the Splish added an extra sensation that helped heighten my orgasms, but I must stress that most of this sensation was felt around the entrance to my vagina. Internally, the Splish was underwhelming, but I expected that due to its size.

For this reason, I believe the Splish would suit those who are just beginning to experiment with vaginal penetration and those looking for a small dildo, that doesn’t feel “boring”.

His Experiences With The Tantus Splish

My partner’s experiences with the Splish were very similar to mine. With very little warm-up (and a good splash of lubricant) he inserted the Splish easily. He immediately commented on the texture, noting that it felt somewhat rumbly and somewhat popping.

Either way, he said it felt good. It is obvious that the Splish is designed as a thrusting dildo because it lacks a wide shaft and a thin neck to hold it in a place like a butt plug.

Plus, using it to thrust, definitely produces the most enjoyable sensations. This is most noticeable around the anus and over the prostate. Just like me, he felt that the texture was noticeable but reasonably subtle at the same time. The Splish could not provide firm pressure against the prostate, but it certainly teased the area, helping to heighten his orgasms.

Cleaning And Care

The Tantus Splish, like all Tantus products, is made from 100% high quality silicone, so it is free from nasty chemicals and is virtually non-porous. The fact that Tantus silicone can be bleached (10% bleach 90% water solution, then rinse well), boiled (Do not allow the dildo to touch the sides of any piping hot pan) and put in the dishwasher, makes it all the more body safe.

Another benefit to this material is that it is safe to use with water and oil based lubricants. Silicone lubricant is generally safe to use, but it is best to spot test beforehand, as some lower grade silicone lubricants could cause surface damage to the dildo.

For generally cleaning, I recommend antibacterial soap and hot water.  The Splish is quick and easy to clean, although you want to pay particular attention to areas where lubricant and body fluids can gather (in the crevasses where the drip texture forms).

You may also want to purchase a storage pouch, as there is not one provided and the silicone does attract lots of dust and lint.

Summary

It’s really hard for me to not love this dinky little dildo, with its gorgeous dripping design and lovely, dual-tone colouration. It isn’t just aesthetics that draw me to the Splish though.

Despite the fact that I generally prefer larger insertable sex toys with less texture (The Tantus Mikey is a particular favourite), I ended up really enjoying the subtle teasing sensation that the Splish provides.

No, I can’t see myself using it all the time, but for teasing and warm up, it would be my first choice. My partner felt very similar when it comes to anal use.

I think the Splish would be most suited to those who are either new to penetration, or are looking for a petite dildo that still produces some enjoyable rumbling sensations.

We personally found that the texture on the Splish makes it feel so much more interesting than a texture-free dildo that is roughly the same size (such as the Tantus Warm Up).

The Splish is a welcome addition to our dildo collection and will definitely be used again. I highly recommend it.
