Tantus Holt Dildo Review

Tantus Holt Dildo Review, June 2021

I was beginning to feel a little sorry for Mr Gritty. I have a beautiful collection of Tantus dildos, but almost all of them were selected to satisfy my tastes.

Preferring to use a smaller sex toy, the standard sized dildos in my collection were presenting him with a challenge.

He has to spend a lot of time warming up to them and even then, the stimulation they provide can be intense.

Butt plugs and prostate stimulators are amazing, but if you like to experience a decent thrusting sensation, they are not the most ideal choice. What my partner really needed was a scaled down version of a standard sized dildo.

Ideally it would have a smooth, straight shaft (for thrusting long and deep), and be compatible with a strap-on harness. The Tantus Holt seemed like the perfect choice.

Product Information

The Holt is a very petite, semi-realistic dildo. It has a bulbous head, a raised coronal ridge and an extremely subtle wave texture on the shaft.

Measuring just 4.5 inches in insertable length (5.25 inches in total length, including the base) and with a maximum circumference of 4 inches, the Holt is one of the smallest dildos available at Tantus.

For a better visual representation of the Holt’s size, check out my dildo comparison picture below.

Like all Tantus dildos, the Holt is made from 100% platinum silicone. This silicone is odourless, virtually non-porous and free from irritating chemicals. It can even be sterilised using a 10% bleach, 90% water solution or placed in boiling water.

The type of silicone used to create the Holt is the matte variety. It is silky to the touch, but still creates a decent amount of drag during use. Lubricant is therefore essential. The silicone is firm enough that it doesn’t squish between my fingers, but due to the Holt’s smaller size, the shaft does have a reasonable amount of flex.

All Tantus dildos come with a flared base, which makes them safe for anal use. Usually, this base is round or teardrop shaped, but the Holt is different. It comes with a rectangular base instead.

My Experiences With The Tantus Holt

As I mentioned above, I prefer using standard sized dildos for vaginal penetration. I did test the Holt in this way, but as expected, I found it a little underwhelming. This doesn’t mean that the Holt fails as a vaginal dildo; far from it.

Using the Holt, I found that it felt similar to being penetrated by two fingers, only it went deeper and felt a little larger overall.

For this reason, I think the Holt would suit those who are quite new to vaginal penetration.

If you are looking to make a small step up from using fingers to inserting larger objects (dildos/penis), the Holt would be a great choice.

His Experience With The Tantus Holt

Pushing yourself close to your limits can be exhilarating, but sometimes we prefer a slower, gentle build towards climax. The Holt provided this sensation for my partner. It managed to strike the perfect balance; it was small enough that he could insert it without much warm up, yet large enough to provide an enjoyable amount of stimulation.

During insertion, the Holt’s bulbous tip and raised coronal ridge would provide a gentle stretch and a subtle popping sensation. This was not overly intense and he could barely feel it once his muscles relaxed further.

When he fully inserted the Holt’s shaft, his sphincter muscles would feel relaxed around the petite, 3.1 inch shaft, so he didn’t feel like he was constantly being stretched.

The larger head applied gentle pressure against his prostate and he could stimulate this hot spot using shallow thrusts and jiggles. As his arousal built and his muscles relaxed further, he could use long, hard thrusts without experiencing any discomfort.

During one of our sessions, we noticed that the Holt’s shaft was thinner, right at the very base. This reminded me of the “necks” found on butt plugs, which are usually designed to hold the toy in place.

The Holt’s neck was not nearly as defined, but we decided to put it to the test anyway. As it turns out, he could walk, sit and lie down, without holding on to the Holt and it would usually remain in place.

However, if he had his legs spread, or pushed gently with his muscles, the Holt would often fall out. I soon came to realise it wasn’t just the neck that helped keep the Holt in place; it was also the base, which was often wedged between his ass cheeks. This is why the Holt was more likely to fall out, if he had his legs spread.

As a huge fan of strap-on sex (pegging), I was desperate to find out if the Holt would fit into an O-ring harness. Most Tantus dildos fit, but I was a worried about the Holt’s unusual shaped base.

Thankfully, the Holt fit nice and secure into my Tantus Intermediate Strap-on Harness, but I did have to go searching for a teeny, tiny O-ring first.

There are many benefits to having a rectangular shaped base. It fit better than expected into my harness and it fit just as comfortably between his ass cheeks.

Unfortunately though, the base did cause one minor issue; it was difficult for him to keep hold of. Mr Gritty has quite large ass cheeks, so the base would sink deep between them and become slippery with lubricant.

You can obviously work around this to some extent, by getting into a position where your legs/cheeks are wider open.

Summary

The Tantus Holt quickly became one of my partner’s favourite anal sex toys. He reaches for it when he wants a more relaxed, subtle sensation, or as a warm up to larger dildos.

For such a petite toy, it really is quite versatile. On top of this, the Holt is made from super high quality materials, so it should last a lifetime with proper care.

In the right situations, the Holt can be used as a butt plug, but in my opinion, it excels as a thrusting dildo and prostate stimulator.

Being so petite, the Tantus Holt would be best suited to beginners, intermediates and anyone looking for a decent warm-up dildo.

The Tantus Holt dildo was kindly sent to me free of charge from Tantus for an honest review. This does not affect, or sway my opinions of the product and I will always portray my own experiences, good or bad. Affiliate links are used within this post.
