Tantus Echo Vibrator Review

Tantus Echo Vibrator Review, June 2021

I was kindly sent the Echo Vibrator from tantus.inc for an honest review.

If you read a lot of my sex toy reviews, you might currently be experiencing a sense of déjà vu because the Tantus Echo Vibrator is incredibly similar to a Tantus toy I reviewed a few months ago; the Tantus Echo Handle dildo.

Although these products look very similar, the main differences can be found at the base of each toy.

As the name suggests, the Echo handle comes with a long handle attached to the base.

The Echo doesn’t have a handle, but it does come with a bullet hole in the base, so you can use this version of the Echo as a vibrator. Although the base is different, the insertable part of each Echo is identical in shape and size.

Product Information

The Tantus Echo is a texture lover’s dream. Its shaft contains a raised, wave-like texture which begins at the coronal ridge and continues throughout.

This rumbling texture circles around 3’4 of the circumference of the shaft, with the back (or underside) of the dildo containing a thin, texture free line that runs from base to tip.

The Echo measures 6.5 inches in insertable length (7.25 inches in total length) and has an average circumference of 5 inches (The waves and dips obviously cause the circumference to vary slightly).

It is made entirely from Tantus’ premium quality silicone, which is odourless, virtually non-porous and free from nasty chemicals.

The Echo is available to purchase in two colours; pearl white and midnight purple.

You can also purchase this gorgeous vibrator in a grab bag and receive it in a surprise colour.  Grab bags products are Tantus goodie bags.

The Echo is one of Tantus’ vibrating sex toys and just like the rest, it comes with a bullet hole in the base and one of Tantus’ battery-operated bullet vibrators. The bullet hole is large enough to accept most average-sized bullets and even the We-Vibe Tango, although being slightly longer than most, the Tango does protrude further out the base.

My Experiences With The Tantus Echo

As with the Echo Handle Dildo, my experiences with the Echo Vibrator were not so great. Not that there is anything wrong with either product.

Both are designed from high quality materials, look gorgeous and function as expected. The issue I have with the Echo is one of personal taste; I really don’t enjoy highly textured dildos.

The Echo isn’t an exceptional dildo, in terms of size. In fact, I own (and thoroughly enjoy) a number of silicone dildos with a larger circumference than this.

Even the gentle rolling waves of texture lead you to believe this will be a smooth ride. Appearances can be deceiving.

Unless I am highly aroused, the Echo is just too intense for me to enjoy. I guess I expected to feel a gentle, wave like sensation when I used the Echo, but what I actually felt was popping.

Each and every peak of texture would pop past the muscles that sit just inside the vagina and this created an intense rumbling, brushing sensation.

Because the Echo is made from a firm, shiny silicone, this dildo can also create a higher level of drag. This also adds to the intensity and made it incredibly uncomfortable to use without lashings of lubricant.

The anterior wall of my vagina is sensitive to intense stimulation at the best of times, so the Echo would quickly overstimulate my nerves. It could leave me feeling irritated, chafed or bruised.

The only time I can really enjoy the Echo, is when I am highly aroused and take it real slow. With my g-spot swollen and more responsive, the brushing sensation feels amazing. I have to avoid thrusting fast and hard though, so I often don’t reach g-spot orgasm using the Echo alone.

The most intense and enjoyable stimulation I get from the Echo, is when I team it up with my favourite clitoral vibrator and indulge in some dual stimulation.

His Experiences With The Tantus Echo

Like most Tantus dildos, the Echo comes with a flared base, which makes it safe to use for anal play. We have recently discovered that my partner actually enjoys a little texture to his dildos, so I handed it to him for an opinion.

While he did comment that the Echo felt more intense than many of his texture-free anal toys, for him it was not a bad kind of intense. Just like me, he described the sensations during use as rumbling and popping. This popping was less intense than, say, anal beads, but it was definitely noticeable.

He could become overwhelmed by the Echo if we thrust with it too fast for too long. We also noticed that this is not the kind of anal toy he can use comfortably without a little warming up to it first. However, he really enjoyed the rumbling stimulation felt around his anus and prostate. When combined with penis stimulation, the Echo can really intensify his orgasms.

The Vibrations

Because the vibrations are powered by a battery operated bullet vibrator (bullets are not the most powerful vibrators available) and have to travel up through the silicone shaft, they are dampened significantly by the time they reach the tip. I could still feel them, but it felt more like a tickling tease.

It certainly added a little extra flavour to my masturbation session, but it was far from orgasmic. Thankfully, you can remove the bullet vibrator from the base of the Echo and experiment with more powerful models if you wish. Using the We-Vibe Tango in the base really helped to increase the intensity of the vibrations. Still not orgasmic, but definitely an enjoyable additional feature.

Summary

Obviously the Echo is not going to make it into my favourite’s box, but there is no denying the pleasure it can offer those who enjoy highly textured sex toys.

Being made by Tantus, the Echo has other advantages too, such as being free from nasty chemicals, odourless and virtually non-porous. It will last a lifetime with proper care. Plus, have you seen how gorgeous those colours are?

If you prefer a smoother, gentler penetration, there are much better dildos available for you. I personally recommend the Tantus Mikey.

The Echo is best suited to those who prefer rumbling, popping sensations. If that sounds like you, you need to get your hands on the Tantus Echo.

The Echo vibrator were kindly sent to me free of charge from Tantus for an honest review. This does not affect, or sway my opinions of the product and I will always portray my own experiences, good or bad. Affiliate links are used within this post.
