Sh! Womenstore Leather Corset Strap On Harness Review

Sh! Womenstore Leather Corset Strap On Harness Review

I do love a good strap on harness, and so when Sh! Womenstore emailed me to ask if I would like to review one of their own brand harnesses, I found myself faced with a few difficult choices.

When it comes to strap on harnesses, Sh! Womenstore seem to have it all, from slip on, panty style harnesses to thigh harnesses and of course, the gorgeous corset style harness, which was my choice.

Then I had to decide on a colour, because this harness comes in 8 different colour options.

There is the standard black and red colours and some very girly, pastel pinks, blues and purples. Last but not least they have white and even gold. Phew, lots of choice. After careful deliberation I decided the red Corset Harness would look amazing against my black latex and even my black underwear and stockings, so my choice was made.

Your final decision is choosing the right size to fit you and the Corset Strap On comes in two sizes; Small/Medium, which fits size 6 to 12 and Medium/Large, which fits 14 to 20. I personally think an extra large size would be a fantastic addition to their range, but at the moment, these are your size options.

My Experiences With The Corset Strap-On Harness

The Corset Strap on doesn’t come with any fancy packaging, so if you intend on buying this as a gift, you might want to plan ahead and get something nice to present it in.

The first thing I noticed when removing it from its plastic wrapper was how amazingly leathery it smelled. It has a lovely strong leather scent.

The second thing I noticed was just how soft and flexible the leather was. I moulded the straps around my hands and was impressed with how pliable and comfortable the leather felt.

Putting the corset strap on on is easy enough, but can be a little fiddly and time consuming at first, while you get all the straps adjusted correctly.

For the most part it is simply a case of stepping in and out of the straps and tightening them or loosening them when needed.

As long as you are not at the very end of the size constraints, you will find that you do not need to undo the corset strap at the back of the strap on, nor will you ever really need to completely undo the leg straps.

You simple need to loosen up the two straps that attach the front panel to the back of the corset section and loosen off the leg straps to let the strap-on fall down. This is good. It means less time fiddling around with the lacing at the back.

Speaking of lacing the back, I did have one small issue with the corset lacing. The material used to thread up the corset section is actually a long strip of thin leather.

This leather strip doesn’t grip as well as other materials (Cotton for example) and although this made it easier to undo (It never gets tightly knotted) I found the bow and lacing would occasionally come undone mid-session and the strap on would get loose or fall off.

Of course, this doesn’t happen all the time, it’s an occasional thing and you can easily pick up another piece of lacing for pennies, should it bother you too much.

Once I had the corset on, I grabbed the most suitable of the three O-rings that come with the corset and attached my pegging dildo. I love intimidating dongs. My initial thoughts were confirmed too, the strap on felt extremely comfortable to wear and move around in.

This harness has been designed with two straps that come up each side of the groin, so they basically sit along your panty or bikini line. This design has three benefits over the single strap design (Where one strap runs up between your buttocks).

Firstly it is way more comfortable, as you don’t have a leather strap wedged up between your buttocks which can chafe during thrusting. Secondly you have access to your own genitals with the two strap design. The straps sit against the bikini line, rather than running straight across your genitals.

Thirdly as a long time sufferer of UTI infections, I also avoid the single straps because I have this belief that I am possibly transferring bacteria when that single strap rubs back and forth over my anal opening and vaginal opening. Whether this is the case or not, I can’t be sure, but I’d rather play it safe.

During use, the Corset strap on felt extremely secure (aside from the few occasions that the corset lacing worked itself loose, of course) and I could thrust and wiggle as hard as I wanted, while still feeling completely in control of my movements with the dildo. It was almost perfect.

The only position where I noticed any issue was when he was on top. Now, he is an average sized guy, but with his full weight bearing down on the dildo (and therefore, me) I began to feel some discomfort in my pubic area where the dildos base was being pressed into my body.

After removing the strap on, I noticed that the front panel on this harness is not padded and if I had to make any suggestions for improvement, this would be one of them.

When I first received the harness, one thing I remember sticking in my mind was just how fragile the D-rings (The rings that attach all the strapping together and are used to make the harness adjustable.) looked.

They are quite thin and due to the very dark colour, I initially suspected they were made of plastic. On further inspection I realised that they were actually made of metal, so that was a relief.

To further put my mind at rest, I began squeezing and pulling on the D-rings, to see if I could snap or warp them, but they withstood my abuse.

Of course, they are not going to be invulnerable, but they are plenty strong enough to cope with the use they are intended for.

As a final note, this particular harness has been designed to be worn by people who do not have a penis. My partner did try it on and I suppose it could be worn by penis havers, but it won’t be comfortable and it looks rather strange.

There is nowhere for your bits to go and they will get squished, which could potentially cause pain.

Downsides (A Little Warning)

After my first couple of uses, I begin to notice that the dye used to colour the corset harness was rubbing off onto my clothes/bed sheets; nothing drastic, just a few ‘scuffs’ of pinkish dye here and there, so I decided to do a test, so that I could let you guys know the outcome.

I took a pair of old white panties and rubbed them over the harness until there was a good few scuffs of colour on the white cotton.

I then left the panties sitting for over 24 hours, to allow the dye to sink in, or dry up or whatever it would do (We can’t all wash our clothes and bed sheets immediately) then I decided to hand wash the pants in warm water with a tiny amount of washing powder.

The dye washed out of the cotton entirely, with minimal effort. I don’t know how much this would differ with different materials, but if you are worried, do a small patch test first, or just avoid wearing your favourite delicate lingerie with the Corset Strap On harness.

Summary

I really love the Corset harness and I think Sh! Womenstore have delivered on producing a comfortable, yet highly sexy and versatile harness.

Yes, there are a few little things I would improve slightly, for example lightly padding the front panel and finding a way to ensure the colour dye does not rub onto the wearers clothing or bedding, but I personally found the pros hugely outweighed the cons.

This harness looks absolutely stunning on and it is so versatile. You can choose a multitude of dildos to use with it, comfort levels are high and the wearer has access to her genitals too. I loved how soft, flexible and fragrant the leather was and I was impressed with the quality of workmanship that has gone into producing it.

I would definitely recommend the Sh! Womenstore Corset Harness to all who are interested in pegging, strap on play or packing.
