Pjur Med Clean Fleece Wipes Review

Pjur Med Clean Fleece Wipes Review

I was sent a packet of Pjur and I initially thought I would have little use for them.

I tend to be a little OCD and my toys usually get washed thoroughly in hot water with an antibacterial soap.  Anything less and I feel they are not clean.

My after sex routine usually involves either a shower, or most commonly for night time sex, a trip to the bathroom for a pee and a wipe down with some tissue. I have experimented with wipes in the past.

I went through a baby wipe phase, but that didn’t last long. Baby wipes are pretty useless for a few reasons.

The first being that they often caused stinging sensations or irritation around my vulva (poor baby’s bottom!) and despite the fact they were supposed to be sensitive, they still burned.  The second reason I started to avoid them is that they were always a little too wet.

I use water based lubricants all the time and these lubricants are reactivated with water. Rather than remove the lube, the baby wipes just reactivated it with their wetness and I was essentially just smearing lube around my genitals. Not really what you want.

Anyway, I stopped using baby wipes and never considered using wipes again, until this packet of 25 fleece wipes arrived from Pjur.

What It Says On The Packet

In Use

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I got a lot of use out of these wipes. Yes, I still prefer to wash my toys with soap and water, but they are fantastic in a pinch or if you cannot get to the bathroom for a while.

The Pjur fleece wipes felt much fleecier than the baby wipes I had used in the past and the liquid cleaner added to the Pjur Med Wipes did not cause any stinging or irritation to my skin. This was a very good start.

The fleeces are not saturated with cleaning liquid either and this meant they actually absorbed excess fluid/lubricant from my skin and toys. This was different to my experiences with wetter wipes.

Of course, it does depend on just how much liquid you need to soak up and there were still occasions where I still felt a little tacky from lubricant, despite having a good wipe down. They are not really a replacement for a shower and they cannot handle extreme liquid absorption, but that is probably obvious.

I really liked that the Pjur Med Clean Wipes are made from a very strong, yet very soft material. They do not break apart, even during vigorous wiping, so unlike tissue paper, they do not leave behind little bits of material stuck to your skin or sex toys.

This makes them perfect for a quick freshen up before sex, because you feel confident that your genitals are not going to be left covered in flakes of tissue paper.

I found the wipes were most ideal for freshening up, either before or after sex and the packet is small enough to slip into your handbag for on the go cleaning, which makes them handy if you are travelling. They really absorb and clean up a good deal of fluids and I found them fantastic for freshening up during my monthly cycle.

Mostly though, I kept the Pjur wipes on my bedside table and used them to wipe down body parts and sex toys, before, during and after bedtime fun.

These wipes also claim to be antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral and one wipe alone does a fantastic job at mopping up and cleaning a few toys in one go, or your whole genital area.

Pjur Med Wipes do not contain alcohol and can therefore be used on alcohol sensitive materials like latex, rubber and silicone. I simply combined the wipes with a sex toy cleaner spray for extra cleaning.

A random fact: These wipes taste really sweet! (yes, I went there).

Summary

Despite not being that fussed about using wipes, the Pjur Med Wipes certainly got a lot of usage and I was very pleased to find a pack of wipes that could potentially kill bacteria or viruses, while at the same time remaining very kind to my vulva.

I am very sensitive to irritants and these fleece wipes caused no reaction at all. They are actually the best wipes I have ever tried for intimate use. If you are a fan of personal wipes and feel more confident knowing you have some body safe and top quality wipes handy for intimate use, I would definitely recommend you try Pjur Med Clean Wipes.
