Ovo Cock Ring Review (B2, B9, B10 and B11)

Ovo Cock Ring Review (B2, B9, B10 and B11)

I was kindly sent 4 Ovo Cock rings (B2, B9, B10 and B11.) from a fantastic UK based sex toy company called Simply Pleasure.

I want to say that, generally, I am not a huge fan of vibrating cock rings, but I have only tried a few and do not want to rule them out prematurely.

I need constant clitoral stimulation from my vibrators to reach orgasm and unless I insert my partners penis deep and we just grind against each other, I can’t achieve constant stimulation from a vibrating cock ring.

Aside from this, I need my stimulation to be quite exact, again something I cannot achieve so easily by grinding against something resting on his pubic bone.

For these reasons I have dismissed cock rings, thinking “Why bother” when I can just grab my trusted (and powerful) We-Vibe tango and hold that against my clit while we have sex. I am not ready to rule out vibrating cock rings, but I have yet to find one I really get excited about and unfortunately, the Ovo cock rings did not manage to change my mind.

In Use

Now, as far as cock rings go (Vibrating or not) The Ovo rings are good.

They did as was required of them and made my partners erection harder, and longer lasting without causing discomfort.

Most of the rings occasionally ride up the length of his penis slightly, but for the most part, they stay in place. The problem is that the vibrations are extremely weak. I am talking barely a tingle.

When my partner wore them, he said he could only feel the vibrations travelling around the immediate portion of his penis, where the cock ring sat. He could not feel the vibrations anywhere else and they did not travel up his penis to the sensitive glans.

When I lowered myself onto him and rested my clitoris against the cock ring, I felt a barely there, distant, weak buzzing that just did nothing for me at all.

I took the cock ring off of his penis and removed the miniature bullet from the cock ring. I wanted to give the bullet a chance to impress me by using it directly, without the dulling aspect of the silicone cock ring.

Unfortunately I still found the little bullet to be very shallow, buzzy and extremely weak. The Ovo cock rings are reusable, but it isn’t all good news in this department either. The tiny bullet takes 2 tiny, round R11 (L736) batteries to operate. (Watch batteries.)

These batteries are not the kind you tend to have laying around the house, so you will need to purchase them specifically for your Ovo ring, if you want to continue using it after the batteries die. (It does come with 2 batteries to start you off.) More bad news though; The 2 batteries last for a grand total of 42 minutes from fresh until dead. (Yes, I timed it.)

This will give you 1 to 3 uses before needing a change of batteries. You are going to need a large supply.

I received 4 different Ovo cock rings:

The Ovo B2

This cock ring has a rounded ring to grip the penis and it comes with a flatter, tulip shaped head.

We discovered that this ring allowed for deeper penetration (Compared to some of the others, with much wider heads) and it also provides some extra stimulation against the clitoris in the form of lots of little raised nubs.

These feel quite nice if you apply a little lubricant and grind yourself against them. As with all the rings, the vibrations let it down, but out of all the different shaped rings, this was probably our favourite, both for fit and feel.

The Ovo B9

This ring is triangular in shape (Which doesn’t seem to effect the fit of the ring, nor make it feel uncomfortable) and the vibrating portion is reasonably flat, like with the Ovo B2, except the B9 has a smooth surface for the most part (There are 4 little ridges where you press the button to turn the toy on and off)

This black, wedge shaped cock ring has the largest base out of all the rings I received and therefore it protrudes out from my partners pubic bone further than most. This meant that the penetration had to be a little more shallow. It was the larger rings (B10 and B11) that had more of a tendency to slip back up the length of my partners penis.

The  Ovo B11

Very similar to the Ovo B10, only white, and both the wedge and the ring are slightly smaller on the B11.

All of the rings are very similar in vibration strength (Weak) and fit around his penis, however we both preferred using the more flatter rings (B9 and B2) as these sat more flush against his pubic bone, allowing for deeper penetration and a more comfortable session. Unfortunately, the flatter ones did not reach the parts of my clitoris that matter, so as well as being weak, they were also not in the best position to bring me pleasure anyway.

Summary

Unfortunately all four of the Ovo Cock Rings were a let down for us. I am half inclined to say that this is because I have never enjoyed the idea of vibrating cock rings in the first place, but it isn’t just that.

It is the extremely weak vibrations and occasionally, the shapes that let these rings down, causing them to ride up the penis and give very little stimulation to either of us.

They work fine as standard cock rings, causing harder erections for longer periods of time, but aside from this and their simple looks, nothing else about these rings pleased me.

I may continue to use these rings as simple, non vibrating cock rings, but only the flatter ones will allow me to comfortable fit a bullet vibrator between his and my body.

You can purchase from the range of Ovo Cock rings at simplypleasure.com.

The Ovo Cock Rings were kindly sent to me free of charge by simplypleasure.com for an honest review. This does not affect, or sway my opinions of the product and I will always portray my own experiences, good or bad.
