Nalone Rhythm Sound Activated Rabbit Vibrator Review

Nalone Rhythm Sound Activated Rabbit Vibrator Review

Nalone Rhythm Sound Activated Rabbit Vibrator Review, June 2021

I was kindly sent the Nalone Rhythm directly from Nalone for an honest review and the Rhythm is the second vibrator I have tried from the Nalone range.

I was contacted by Nalone, after my previous experience with the Nalone Electro Wand and I was really pleased to hear that Nalone had read my review and had passed my experiences along to their design team, to look into the problems I experienced and to try and resolve any issues.

They also very kindly offered to send me the Nalone Rhythm for review. I was really pleased with the communication I had with Nalone. I felt like they had listened to my concerns with respect and dealt with my issues graciously. I must admit though, I did have my doubts.

The Electro Wand disappointed me and I was worried I would have the same experience with the Rhythm.

Before I tell you about my experiences with the Rhythm I want to tell you a little bit about the Nalone range of sex toys, because their products are a little different from your standard vibrators.

Each one of the Nalone sex toys comes with a unique function, or an added ‘extra’. For example, the Nalone Electro Wand comes with an electro stimulation (E-stim.) function, among other things (It still vibrates and it is double ended.)

The Rhythm is unique too. It comes with voice, or sound, activated vibration technology, which allows you to control the vibrations using music, or your own voice. The Nalone range of sex toys are innovative. They go a step beyond your standard vibrator, hoping to bring more fun and more versatility to your play.

Product Specs

The Nalone Rhythm is a waterproof, USB rechargeable, rabbit style vibrator. The main shaft is made from ABS plastic, which has been coated in a silky soft silicone. This shaft measures approximately 4.5 inches in useable length and 4.25 inches in circumference around the bulbous head.

It is also completely rigid, having no bend or flex to the shaft and no noticeable squish to the silicone (Think Lelo.) You may notice that the main arm is not round in shape and that it actually more closely resembles a rounded off triangle, having two noticeable ‘edges’ on each side and a bulge on top.

The clitoral arm measures 2.5 inches in length and this arm is made entirely from firm silicone, making it flexible and with a small amount of squish. This arm is similar in shape to the larger arm (That rounded off triangle shape.) and comes to a point at the very tip.

When the motors are on, the Nalone Rhythm produces a moderate amount of noise. It is not silent, but the sound can be muffled under a duvet so that it cannot be heard easily across the other side of the room. The clitoral stimulator is louder than the internal shaft.

Operating the Nalone Rhythm

You need to charge the Nalone Rhythm before initial use. Whilst it is charging, a blue light will flash around the button control panel. This light goes out once the Rhythm has a full charge. The Rhythm functions using button controls and to switch it on, you need to hold down the power button for 2 or 3 seconds, until you see the panel light up with blue light.

You do the same thing to turn the vibrator off. Once the lights light up, the Rhythm is now switched on, but it is in standby mode, so nothing will happen until you press one of the other three buttons, labelled “Inside”, “Outside” and “Music”.

The Inside Button: This button controls the main shaft, and I assume is labelled “Inside” as this is the portion of the vibrator that you insert internally. You simply press this button to cycle through the 7 vibrations modes, which include 3 continuous speed settings and 4 pattern modes, including pulses and waves. You can continue cycle through these settings with every click of the button, unless you press and hold the button, which will switch the vibrations off.

The Outside Button: This button controls the clitoral vibrator, or the little arm, and it also comes with 7 different vibrations modes (The same modes that come with the main shaft.) The outside button functions in exactly the same way as the inside button, in that it will cycle through the settings with every button click, unless you press and hold the button to switch that motor off. Both the main shaft, and the clitoral arm can be operated independently of each other, so you can have just one of the motors vibrating, or both of them together, including having each motor vibrating in different modes.

The Music Button (Sound Activation Mode): This button, when pressed, switches the Nalone Rhythm into sound activation mode. When in this mode, the Rhythm picks up sound from its surroundings and it will vibrate and pulse to the same beat.

Both the clitoral arm and the internal shaft will vibrate together. (You have no choice in music mode.) It has been designed to vibrate slower with quieter sounds, and faster with louder sounds. (More on my experience with the sound activation mode later.)

My experiences

The Clitoral Stimulator

I only have a limited experience with the Nalone dual motor vibrators, the Electro Wand and now the Rhythm, but both toys seem to contain the same motor, and this means I have one major bone to pick. The Nalone dual motor vibrators seem to have one really great vibrating motor, and one really weak vibrator.

In the case of the Electro Wand, the head had fabulous vibrations while the insertable handle had extremely shallow vibrations that I described as being less powerful than some battery operated bullet vibes. Unfortunately, I have the same experience with the Rhythm. The Rhythm has a nice, deep, powerful internal shaft, and a weak, buzzy clitoral vibrator.

I really cannot orgasm from the clitoral arm alone, firstly because the vibrations are too weak for my tastes and secondly because I don’t enjoy the feel of the clitoral arm.

I prefer pin point stimulation, but the clitoral arm on the Rhythm is much more pin point than a bullet vibrator, to the point where it actually compounds the issue of not being able to feel the vibrations or stimulation very well.

On top of this, it also feels pokey and uncomfortable. The clitoral arm is flexible, so I did try bending it back and laying it directly over my clitoris, but in doing this, the added ‘pressure’ dulled the vibrations.

It is not a complete loss, I can still orgasm from the Nalone Rhythm, when used in its ‘proper’ way (Shaft inserted, small arm on my clit.) so long as I also switch on the vibrations in the main shaft.

Luckily, the powerful, deep vibrations from the main shaft, travel up through the silicone clitoral arm, adding an extra ‘oomph’ that the clitoral arm lacks when vibrating on its own, as well as providing deep vibrations internally which travel up into my clitoral tissue from the inside.

To be honest though, I prefer to use the main shaft directly against my clitoris, which produces orgasms, but defeats the object of a rabbit style vibrator.

The Main Shaft

Now that I have mentioned the bad news, it is time to balance it with some good news. The Rhythm turned out to be an intense g-spot vibrator. I was initially concerned that the slightly triangular shape to the shaft would be uncomfortable. It wasn’t.

The main shaft curves slightly and is completely rigid, making it ideal for g-spot pressure and pleasure, but it is also thin enough to avoid causing any uncomfortable grinding or bumping sensations up behind my pubic bone. It was a pleasure to insert.

It found my g-spot effortlessly and I immediately began to feel it stimulating me, even without the vibrations turned on.

The main shaft has some really great vibrations though, and as soon as I switched it on, I knew it was going to work its magic quickly.

The silicone material is very silky, it provides a little drag during use, but not nearly as much as the more matte silicone dildos do. If I could remove the pokey clitoral arm, I would enjoy the Rhythm as an extremely good g-spot vibrator. (Check out the Nalone Pulse, which is essentially the Nalone Rhythm, just without the clitoral arm. I have not tried the Pulse though, so cannot say if it has the same, powerful, motor.)

Sound Activated Mode

The sound activation mode is certainly a lot of fun, but as expected, it has a few niggles. One of those niggles is that the sound mode can struggle picking up faster beats and what tends to happen is that the Rhythm just continuously vibrates if the sounds/beats are too close together.

Finding a slower song solves this problem. Another niggle is that the microphone only really picks up the music accurately if the music source is extremely close to the mic. How close? Well, I recommend laying your phone down between your legs and playing the music on that, for accurate results.

This also means that the mic will only sporadically pick up the voice of the person using it, meaning I had to literally shout at the Rhythm for it to notice me. Lastly, the Rhythm can flip out occasionally whilst in sound mode, and for some reason it gets ‘stuck’, vibrating away, even though there is no sound to be heard. (A quick tap on the mic solves that.)

I actually did have fun with the sound mode though. Mainly because my partner discovered a fun way to use it. He simply lay between my legs and blew air gently into the mic. The mic responded to this perfectly, pulsing and vibrating to the rhythm he set with his breath.

While this was fun, and a huge tease, it was not orgasmic. I need constant stimulation for orgasms to occur and the Rhythm has a continuous vibration setting that I would rather switch to anyway, as having my partner continuously blow into the mic for 20 minutes probably would of killed him. The sound mode was excellent for teasing though, and would be ideal for anyone who enjoys pattern (Pulsing) settings on vibrators.

Cleaning And Care

The Rhythm is completely waterproof and the silicone is almost seamless (There is a very, very feint seam running through the length of the shaft, which can be felt under the fingers, but not during use.) so cleaning is easy, simply use hot water and antibacterial soap and rinse well.

I recommend using water based lubricant with the Rhythm, as silicone lubricants can react with other silicone materials and you do not want to damage the surface of the Rhythm. The Rhythm comes with a velvet storage pouch, for storage between uses, but it can also be stored more long term in the pink storage box that it arrives in.

Summary

There were a few aspects of the Nalone Rhythm that I did really love. I experienced some intense g-spot pleasure from the internal shaft and cannot fault the deep, powerful vibrations which come from this motor, and although it was not orgasmic, I also had fun playing with the sound activated vibration mode.

Adding to the positives are the fact that the Rhythm is waterproof, rechargeable and made from body safe materials.

However, I felt that the whole toy was let down by the weak vibrations from the clitoral arm, as well as the pokey, pointed shape of this stimulator. The Rhythm gave me clitoral orgasms, but not easily and often not in the way it was ‘supposed’ to do as a rabbit style vibrator.

I know I am fussy with my desires, requiring powerful, deep vibrations from my vibrators. I would compare the power produced from the clitoral vibrator on the Rhythm as on par with the power provided by surface level, shallow bullet vibrators, but it can be given a bit of a ‘kick’ if you also switch on the vibrations to the main shaft.

If you cannot stand powerful vibrations and prefer gentle to moderate, pin point, clitoral stimulation, maybe the Rhythm would be ideal for you. For ladies who need more power and depth, I recommend checking out the Swan Whooper Rabbit Vibrator instead.

While I have not had the best experiences with Nalone products, it has to be said that I am impressed with Nalone as a company. During my correspondence with them, they have been nothing but courteous and curious to hear feedback about their products with an aim to working on issues raised and an intention to produce a world beating range of products.

I certainly like that they have brought more innovative sex toys to the market. Products that are new and exciting. Nalone are a reasonably new company and I believe that their products will get better and better as they make the little tweaks needed. The Nalone Rhythm was kindly sent to me free of charge from Nalone.co.uk for an honest review. This does not affect, or sway my opinions of the product and I will always portray my own experiences, good or bad. Affiliate links are used within this post.
