Jimmyjane Form 4 Vibrator

Jimmyjane Form 4 Vibrator Review

The Jimmyjane Form 4 vibrator is the first Jimmyjane product I have tried, but I have been an admirer of this manufacturer for a long time now. What jumps out at me the most is that Jimmyjane vibrators, especially their “Form” range, is that all of the designs are unique. The Form 2 looks like a luxury set of rabbit ears, minus the shaft associated with rabbit vibrators and the Form 3 looks like a spoon and you can use your finger to massage your clitoris through the vibrator. Jimmyjane also created the “Hello Touch”, a vibrator you can wear on your fingers for foreplay and teasing. I love the ideas and thought process behind all these innovative designs. I was therefore honoured to meet a wonderful and informative representative from Jimmyjane at this year’s Erotic Trade Show, who kindly demonstrated (and let me handle) some of their luxury sex toys from their “Form” range and was thrilled when asked to review the Form 4

Product Information:

The Jimmyjane Form 4 is a luxury, rechargeable vibrator which, like the other vibrators in the Jimmyjane range, has a rather unique shape. The Form 4 reminded me mostly of Russian/Matryoshka dolls, or bowling pins because this vibrator is reasonably short/squat (Measuring 5 inches in overall length) and the thinnest section is roughly 1/3 of the way down the shaft. The circumference at the tip measures 4.25 inches and this slims down to 3.75 inches around the slimmest section, before widening again to a total circumference of 5.5 inches at the base.

The Form 4 comes with a mains charging dock and charging couldn’t be easier. You simply place the Form 4 onto the dock, ensuring the light on the Front of the vibrator begins to glow continuously and when that light goes out, the vibrator is fully charged. The Box states that the Form 4 will run for up to 7 hours on a full charge, but this will reduce if you use the faster speed settings. Still, I take an average of 30 minutes to reach orgasm and have used it two or three times before charging, without the motor dying on me. I am impressed with the battery life.

The Form 4 comes with 4 settings. Setting 1 is continual vibration. Setting 2 is a slow wave pattern. Setting 3 is a fast wave pattern. Setting 4 is a fast pulse. You cycle through these four settings using the (~) button and simply use the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to increase or decrease the speed. From what I can tell, there are 5 different speed increases and this applies to every setting. The Form 4 does have a memory function and so it will always turn on, on the last setting you had the vibrator on.

Much like Lelo sex toys, the Form 4 is a rigid sex toy that has been coated in a high quality, body safe silicone skin. There is no flex in the shaft and no squish to the surface. It does have a seam that runs down each side of the shaft and you can feel this underneath your fingertips, but I personally could not feel it during penetration. The Form 4 is waterproof and very quiet, but mine occasionally produces a unique, high pitched sound that is very hard to describe. (magnetic, sonic, squealing) I am still trying to work out if this is normal or if my Form 4 is malfunctioning.

My Experiences with the Jimmyjane Form 4:

When you test sex toys for a living, you learn what works best for your body and can often just look at a sex toy and have a good idea whether it would please you. When it comes to clitoral stimulation, I need an incredibly powerful and rumbling vibrator to reach orgasm consistently from a broad touch and I need pin-point stimulation to orgasm from less powerful vibrators, so when I looked at the Form 4, which its broad head and small size, I had doubts that it would work well with my particular tastes.

Clitoral Use:

My first few sessions with the Form 4 left me feeling mostly apathetic. I discovered that I could reach orgasm when using the Form 4 as a clitoral vibrator, but it took longer (compared to my trusted favourites) and orgasm was not a guarantee. The Form 4 would never be one of those “dead cert” vibrators, (the ones I reach for when tired or struggling because they never fail to get me off), but it did still give me orgasms and plenty of broad tipped vibrators before it had failed at that.

I believe the reason why I could orgasm with the Form 4, despite its broad tip, was that it comes with a high quality motor that produces plenty of power and just enough depth to its vibrations take me to orgasm. The power/speed of the vibration is very good, competing with the likes of the Lelo Elise 2, but it lacks a little in those rumbling, deep vibrations that I like so much. I actually think it would have worked more successfully for me if it had a pin-point tip (and I do wonder if the Form 2 might be a better choice for me in that case) but when compared like-for-like alongside some of my other luxury vibrators, I realised that the Form 4 is less rumbling than my Lelo Elise 2, my Minna Limon and my We-Vibe Tango, but is more rumbling than my Lelo Gigi (version 1). In other words, it’s not bad, but it could be better with the rumbles, in my opinion.

Vaginal Use:

One of the benefits to purchasing the Jimmyjane Form 4 over any of the other Form designs is that it can be used for both clitoral and internal stimulation, so next I put it to the test as an internal/g-spot stimulator. With a little lubricant, I inserted the Form 4 without issue and really enjoyed how silky smooth the silicone felt. I also really enjoyed the sensations that the vibrations provided internally but the overall shape and size of this vibrator interfered with G-spot pleasure. The straight shaft did not reach my G-spot naturally, so I was forced to manually angle the Form 4 upwards into my g-spot and I had to maintain that hold throughout the session. Things gradually became more awkward due to the Form 4’s short (5 inch) length, which left me with very little base to grasp onto. When the base became slippery, it was difficult to maintain a jiggling movement against my g-spot. I think the Form 4 works best as a simple, penetrative toy for those moments when you just want to feel something vibrating inside you. Its size is not overwhelming and those who seek something larger, or need more texture, may be left wanting, but it did the job of stimulating my vaginal entrance and giving me something to squeeze around.

I also discovered that if I inserted the Form 4 beyond approximately 4 inches, the buttons would be up inside my body. Thankfully the buttons are not noticeable as they moved in and out of my body, but I obviously lost the ability to switch the speed or pattern settings.

Cleaning and Care:

The Jimmyjane Form 4 is waterproof, which makes for easy cleaning after use. I simply use antibacterial soap and hot water, but you can use sex toy cleaners too. The silicone used to create the Form 4 does not attract too much dust and lint, which is good because it does not come with a storage bag (I recommend picking one up, to keep your Form 4 in great condition)

I didn’t love the Jimmyjane Form 4, but I didn’t hate it either. I just think it wasn’t quite right for me. Yes, it gave me clitoral orgasms, but it took longer and was harder work to get there (compared to some of my favourite sex toys) and it pleasured my g-spot enjoyably, but its shape and size forced me to fiddle around more than I would have liked and hand cramps are not fun. I would even describe the vibrations as good (not fantastic, but not rubbish by any stretch of the imagination). I personally suspect that the Form 4 would suit those who are looking for a sensation that sits in the middle ground. This vibrator will not rumble, thud and thump your socks off, but nor will it simply tickle or tease your erogenous zones. Instead it sits somewhere in the middle. It comes with all the features you would expect from a luxury toy, including being rechargeable, waterproof, quiet and offering choice in regards to speed and patterns. It did not let me down in any major kind of way, but unfortunately I cannot seem to get super excited about the Jimmyjane Form 4, when I catch myself reaching for other vibrators in my collection that just work so much better with my preferences.

The Jimmyjane Form 4 vibrator was kindly given to me free of charge from jimmyjane.com for an honest review. This does not affect, or sway my opinions of the product and I will always portray my own experiences, good or bad.

Sorry to hear you did not like this one too much, the form on it looks like it be a bit much to get the right way.

Oooh, I’ve been eyeing up the Form 2 & Form 3 for a while now but the Form 4 never really interested me. It’s good to hear that it’s quiet, the silicone’s silky and the vibrations are good though; that bodes quite well for the rest of them.

Definitely! If I get a chance to review from this range again, I have better feelings about the Form 2. I just think if you like pin-point stimulation, the Form 4 might not be the best choice. It still worked, but not consistently for me, because of my desire for pin-point stim. Mind you, if you know you need it pin-point, you would probably lean away from the Form 4 anyway. I can see the Form 4 being suitable for those who don’t “demand” pin point. (I don’t demand it, but it takes an especially powerful vibe, like the mains powered wands, to work for me in this case). Thanks for your comment. I hope you enjoy the Form 2 or 3 when you get to try them!
