ElectraStim ElectraClamps Review

ElectraStim ElectraClamps Review, July 2021

Demonstrating that they know their way to my heart, ElectraStim kindly sent me a few of their fetish accessories to test and review.

Recently, I shared the awesome experiences I had with the ElectraStim ElectraClamps. The ElectraClamps are designed to enhance your sensory play sessions and just like the paddle and the pinwheel, they are really not for the faint of heart.

The ElectraClamps are best suited to those who enjoy intense stimulation. If you like mixing pleasure with pain, you should definitely keep on reading.

Product Information

You can use the ElectraClamps as you would any other set of clamps; simply attach them to various erogenous zones (such as nipples, clitoris or frenulum) to experience an uncomfortable yet pleasurable pinch.

The main difference between standard clamps and the ElectraClamps is that these sadistic little nippers can also be used for electrostimulation (e-stim).

When you attach these clamps to a compatible e-stim power box, they will emit a torturously tingly sensation in conjunction with the aforementioned pinch.

Like most e-stim accessories, the ElectraClamps should only be used below the waist when the current is switched on. This makes them most suitable for cock and ball torture (CBT) or for use on the clitoris and labia. Made from solid diecast steel, the ElectraClamps do have a decent amount of weight to them (mine weigh 43 grams each). Measuring 2.6 inches in total length, the pincers only open up to a maximum of 0.8 inches.

This means they are better suited to gripping smaller areas of skin, such as the frenulum or labia. They are too small to grip around larger body parts, such as the entire penis.

When using the ElectraClamps on particularly sensitive parts of the body, you can reduce the intensity of the pinching by tightening the adjustable screw. This will force the pincers to remain in an open position, alleviating a lot of the squeezing pressure.

As you become accustomed to the sensation, you can gradually increase the intensity of the pinch by loosening the screw. This leaves you (or your partner) in full control of the stimulation.

To use the ElectraClamps as an e-stim device, you will need to connect them to a compatible e-stim power box. I use the ElectraStim EM60-M Flick, but others are available. If you take a look at my pictures, you will notice each clamp has an input hole at the tip of each arm.

Each clamp comes with two input holes (2mm and 4mm) to ensure that they are compatible with a wider variety of e-stim power boxes. Unipolar accessories cannot be used alone, as you need two to create a circuit. This means you must use both clamps at the same time, or switch one out for another e-stim accessory (such as a cock ring or a butt plug).

Also included with the clamps is a 60ml bottle of ElectraStim Conductive Lubricant. ElectraStim recommends that you apply a small blob of this lubricant to the pads, to intensify the e-stim sensations.

My Experience with the ElectraClamps

The first time I used the ElectraClamps, I remember being slightly concerned about the amount of pressure I had to apply to the arms to open up the pincers.

The ElectraClamps open up easily enough, but they do feel quite stiff compared to most clamps in my collection. This did make me wonder how much pressure they would apply when I attached them to my body. I assumed that I was in for a world of hurt.

As it turns out, I was wrong. The ElectraClamps do pinch down harder than this particularly vicious set of clover clamps. I would therefore describe the ElectraClamps as middling in terms of grip intensity.

Just to clarify, I mean the pain they cause when they bite down. The actual grip (their ability to stay attached, even when tugged on) is excellent.

I think this is partially due to the raised, dotted texture on the pads surface.

This texture helps the clamps to grip and reduces their chance of slipping. This is especially useful considering that you need to apply conductive lubricant to the clamps before you attach them. In my experience, this lubricant really does help to smooth out and intensify the electrostimulation, so I think it is a good idea to use it every time.

Before turning the e-stim on, I experimented a little with the adjustable screw. On most areas of my body, I could attach the clamp without experiencing too much pain.

I did struggle to attach the clamp to the most sensitive areas (such as my clitoris) without using the adjustable screw to alleviate some of that squeezing pressure. What I liked most about the adjustable screw is that it allowed me to control exactly how hard the pincers would pinch.

All of the above information describes how the ElectraClamps feel when you use them as basic clamps. With the e-stim turned on, you experience a noticeable leap in stimulation. As I mentioned in my Electro-Sex Pinwheel review, electrostimulation feels more intense, the smaller the point of contact and the closer the electrodes are to each other.

The ElectraClamps have a very small point of contact, so I wasn’t surprised that I only got to intensity level 6 (out of the 24 intensity levels available on my e-stim power box), before I was reaching my pain limit. For my partner, this number was lower still. As I already stated, the ElectraClamps are really not for the faint of heart.

Like most e-stim accessories, the ElectraClamps produce a sharp, tingly, vibration-like sensation. On the lower intensity levels, it feels a little bit like having pins and needles. The vibration has a sharpness to it, but it feels tingly, perhaps even tickly overall. As you work your way up through the intensity levels, the vibration-like sensation becomes deeper and a lot more thumping.

The shallow tingles become a lot more stabbing. These sensations are all local to the area that the clamps are making contact with your body. The more sensitive the part, the more intense the stimulation will be.

For us, the clamps make a great addition to our sensory play fun and games. While I am not particularly interested in experiencing pain, I can attach the clamps to each of my labia and select a lower intensity setting to experience enjoyable tingles travelling across my vulva. Of course, I get most of my enjoyment out of using the clamps for cock and ball torture.

Placing the clamps at various points on his penis/testicles, I can use the e-stim power box to select a variety of patterns and intensity levels. Thanks to the sheer variety of stimulation options available, I can use the clamps to be nice, or downright sadistic.

Summary

The ElectraClamps can be used to produce pleasurable sensations, but in my experience there will always be at least a mild level of discomfort.

For this reason, I would recommend the ElectraClamps to those who enjoy a little (or a lot) of pain, mixed with their pleasure

If you prefer a gentler sensory experience, you might want to give the ElectraClamps a miss. I would recommend the tweezer style clamps as a gentler alternative.
