iGino One Clitoral Vibrator Review

I was approached by the makers of iGino, who showed me their Indiegogo campaign for the iGino One and asked if I would be interested in testing this brand new and innovative, USB rechargeable, vibrator. I watched the video and was definitely intrigued. Although the discreet design didn’t initially appeal to me, I was very curious as to how this innovative “Vibramoove” technology would feel during use. The iGino has been designed to provide a different kind of stimulation compared to a standard vibrator. Basically, as well as vibrating, the little pink nub is also designed to slide back and forth, mimicking the sensation of a finger sliding back and forth over your clitoris.

One of the first things I noticed was that I really liked the depth and the intensity to the vibrations. It brought me to orgasm in a short time and with minimal effort. However, the iGino vibrates so fast, and the nub slides back and forth so minimally that it feels just like a vibrator to me. This is not a bad thing considering the vibrations actually felt seriously intense, but I still have mixed feelings about this vibrator.

One of the main issues I have with the iGino is that, on half of the occasions I have used it so far, it has left me with some physical pain. It seems to leave me with a chafed, stinging sensation on my clitoris for the next 12/24 hours. I am not entirely sure what is causing it but I have narrowed it down to three possible options. 1) The little nub is catching parts of my clitoral skin as it slides back and forth, pinching it and causing some irritation 2) The vibrations and movement are powerful and eventually the foam tip causes friction burn, especially if the lube dries 3) Occasionally I feel that the motor gets too hot during extended use. Is it burning me slightly? I don’t know for sure but I am leaning towards the cause being number 1, simply because I do feel an occasional nipping sensation while using this vibrator. I think I now understand the reason behind the little circular foam pad which has been placed underneath the nub. (I am guessing it is there to reduce or stop the toy nipping you as this head slides back and forth.)

Another gripe I have is the shape of the vibrator. The iGino has been designed with a compact, slimline shape to make it easy to use during penetration. How is this possible? It is only slim in one direction and just plain wide in all others. I personally need to hold the iGino with the base pointing up towards the ceiling, or straight out between my legs, pointing the base towards my feet, to ensure the nub on the head is pressing into my clit correctly. The length means that 2 inches stick straight up from your body, which rules out missionary without jabbing your partner in their pubic area as they thrust or wiggle on top of you. The width rules out spooning, or any legs together positions because you cannot squeeze it in between your closed legs (Unless you can hold one leg up in the air for however long it takes. I can’t.) It may be slim but it still manages to be awkward.

Something else you need to note is that the nub is only half an inch long while at the same time, the base (The section on which the nub sits) is 1.75 inches in length. This means that if you have quite large or full vaginal lips, then you will have to hold the toy sideways, not lengthways, to insert it deeper between your lips. You will probably find yourself fiddling around trying to ensure that small nub fits deeply enough to hit the right spot. It is fiddly and it is not going to suit all body types.

What I am trying to say is that the iGino could be good. The vibrations are certainly fantastic, but it needs work. Firstly, one speed? I would personally like to see it with a few different power options because I think that some ladies might find the sensation quite intense. I found it too intense at times and I am the biggest power whore going. I worry for the ladies who like to start off gentle. The materials also strike me as being a bit cheap and tacky (I cannot imagine the little foam flower lasting long, plus it is clearly porous.) The little foam rings designed (I guess.) to stop the toy nipping the skin? I would personally rethink that aspect because they do not work fantastically well and they won’t last forever. (Even if you do get sent a few replacements.) These are also porous and I doubt they will stop fluids getting inside the toy completely, which makes it awkward to keep hygienically clean. You cannot run it under a tap. The best you can do really is use a flannel or wet wipe to clean it. Then we move on to the charging times. A 12 hour charge gets you 40 minutes of play time. What? That’s it? For a 12 hour charge? Seems a little extreme having to charge it for half a day every time I want to use it. (I usually go for 20/30 minutes before orgasm.) It is extremely noisy and would not be suitable for anyone who needs discretion as it sounds like an electric razor. The shape is not ergonomic either. I would like to see either a longer nub or a different shape to the toy to ensure it reaches every woman’s hot spots. I understand this may be difficult but I am just saying, square box shape is not the best design for a clitoral vibe in my opinion.

The vibrations though? They are actually very good and I personally really like how they feel. I am not sure if the innovative design with the moving head adds anything special but it certainly feels more intense than a lot of other clitoral vibes I own. It gave me orgasms, intense orgasms and that’s what I want in a clitoral vibrator. The designer has definitely got something here. The vibrations are perfect. It is just the rest of it that needs a little work and I think this vibrator could be great. The iGino is available to purchase here.

The iGino One was kindly sent to me free of charge by iGino for an honest review. This does not not affect, or sway my opinions of the product and I will always portray my own experiences, good or bad.
